Hello,

Today I purchased a Fender Mustang I AMP from my local music store. Excited to enjoy all it offers I was able to download and install the FUSE software with no problems. However, after registering and trying to redeem my 3rd party activation codes I am returned an error indicating "The Serial Number for this amplifier does not appear to be a valid serial number."

I have tried every combination of my serial number I could think of on my amp, yet I cannot seem to get past this point.

My serial number is in the format of ABC|12345678 however when adding the amp to my profile, it does not even allow me to use the PIPE character. I can add the sn without the pipe, but when trying to redeem the activation codes I am returned the error above. I have also tried by only inputting the numbers and excluding the alpha characters at the beginning. Any advice on what might be the problem?

Thank you!

-Chris

The serial number of my amp has four letters then eight digits. There are no 'pipe' characters in the serial numbers. Could it be that the fourth letter of your serial number hasn't printed properly and is in fact a letter 'I' (9th letter of alphabet, in between H and J)?

I don't think your browser should matter.

It was an "I" (Capital i) I spend too much time coding i read this immediately as the pipe character which looks like this |

Thanks for the help!
