I have an idea for the next big seller for Fender. Take these Mustang amps and make a line of pawn shop amps with them. Can you imagine how a killer looking something outa the 60s/70s with cool colors/tolex or painted wood Mustang amp would sell? They'd be flying off the shelves. I'd buy one, after my major discount for having the idea of course.

Well there's these...

But are you saying to change the look of the Mustangs so they look retro?
I think it would be pretty sweet just to have one in tweed.

Fender has just stated at NAMM that they're going to close down the current Pawn Shop amps and develop some new ones this year. I for one can't wait. I can't play their silly child-sized 42mm necks on the PS guitars, but gimme some crazy fake retro gigable PS amps and I'm good to go. Note I said gigable, as in "not 13 watts".

That's exactly what I'm saying. Stick the Mustang guts in a quirky, retro vintage cabinet. Imagine a TV front with the controls down the side of the front. Cream color surround around the 1x12" grill and control plate. Four short legs. Wrap it all in some vintage tolex. Make it in sea foam green and I'm all over it.

Better yet, a 15" chrome-cap speaker!
