Hello, all. I was wondering if a Mustang I amp that comes with all the resets can be played
clean? I would like to hear my new Gibson that my wife got me for Christmas clean and with the resets but can't find anything in the two page booklet on bypassing the presets,
if you can even do it on a Mustang I. Thanks for any help, Danny (DUNK8009)

Hi dunk,

try the preset called Basic 65 Twin, it's as clean as it gets with the mustangs.

Hi! I just got a mustang 1. It's not really about the presets at all in my opinion. What you have are specific amp models and they give you three generic tones for each model. You can get a pretty clean Marshall by turning the gain down though your best cleans I think come from the fender twin model. The vox model gets pretty chimney. So you are not stuck at all with the presets. You can make two of your own presets for each amp model onboard or you can use fuse and put anything you want anywhere. So long story short how much distortion you have depends on how much you dial in. Sorry to ramble. Cheers!

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to chime in here and say that whichever Model is chosen, the channel settings are going to be a key as well. We do suggest the '65 Twin Reverb as a good starting place with the channel Gain turned all the way down. Please let us know if we can assist further.

Many thanks to everyone who took the time to reply to my original post. I will try all of the suggestions to see which works best for me but it seems like most agree on the Twin. Thanks again, Danny
