Ok right off let me admit I am new to all this so please be patient. I have a Mustang I amp and need some help with the following: what I want to do is to know how to play along with songs or pre-recorded tracks I have already downloaded on my laptop? I mostly need to do this via headphones. Ok, I have the amp, the headphones, the songs/tracks on my computer...what else do I need and can someone with some patience please walk me through this?

Thanks :?

Unless anyone knows more,, If you use fuse and play the backup music sound comes from PC speakers, and guitar from amp.

 ALSO! plug a jumper cable with an 1/8th inch jack from headphone out of the laptop, then into aux on the amp, Then use headphones on amp, and you should be able to hear both and I am pretty sure that is it!

Easiest fix is use a 1/8" cable from the headphone out on you laptop into the aux input of the mustang. Then plug your headphones into your mustangs headphone jack. Pretty much what the other dude said. The cable is easily a available at radio shack or target. Prolly about 10 bux.
Cheers

Not to spam, but I've used monoprice.com for years for all kinds of cables. For example, their 1/8-inch patch cables are about a buck. They also have good prices on guitar cables. There's a shipping fee, but they'll consolidate items. Just a happy customer.
