You would if you were stuck with the really bad, debilitating fizz that some guys have. That's the point of this whole enterprise. Fender needed to put out a product that would not invite lawsuits and derision, and fast. V.2 is half-baked, rushed to market, hardly worth the bother...except for the fizz fix. V.2 is a product designed by empty suits and lawyers, not by product dev guys. It even has the inappropriate lo-tech Tolex, yuck.

Now if they were only in the business of making amps they would still make money. The difference is between making a profit (making a living) or making as much profit as possible (making a killing). Once parasitical shareholders are figured in, a Corpseration is only allowed to make a killing or incur the (w)rath of said parasites.

Tis a sticky wicket when people who contribute nothing to the health of a product (or anything for that matter) hold so much sway.

There are two types of relationships in Nature. Parasitical and symbiotic. Most nascent corporations start as the latter, when success is achieved they attract and are purchased by the former and the feeding begins. Quality and healthy customer relationships suffer from this infestation. Smiley faced eunuch-types are put as an interface between the customer and the stuff that floats at the top. It ain't cream either.

Come on man, if you live in a 1st world country and you loath capitalism, you will be eternally dissatisfied. There is nothing natural about commerce - bee colonies don't trade amongst each other for instance.

Commerce is an artificial invention of man and it is at the root of the civilization of man kind. Without it, we would still be groveling in the dirt, hiding in caves and trees and scratching out an existence.

The idea of business is to make money. You make money/profit selling products or a services or both. It doesn't matter which or what as long as the business is successful.

The shareholders that you call parasites invested money/resources and they didn't do it out of charity. They do it hoping to see a profit - though there is no guarantee that they will. They very well could lose money if the business fails. There is nothing parasitic or evil about shareholders. The business's officers have a legal obligation to it's shareholders to make as much profit as possible. Otherwise, why on earth would they invest?

But yes, there are two ways to go about capitalism. One way leads to monopolies and plutocracy and civilization as a whole suffers in the long run, after initially benefiting from it. The other is a symbiotic relationship where both parties continue to benefit even over time.

Another invention of man, law is supposed to provide checks and balances so that civilization does not collapse. Law is based upon yet another invention of man, morality. Of the two, business does not recognize morality - only law.

If you want to point fingers and and express disdain, don't do it at business - do it at the law makers.

If you haven't been paying attention, lawmakers are essentially poorly disguised sock puppets for major business interests.

Human nature. Greedy, arrogant, short-sighted humanity. I can't wait for the robots to take over.

And the robots would be even more greedy because they lack guilt completely.

All of the above is true, which is why it is more important than ever for the hapless consumers of products manufactured by predatory capitalistic mega-corps like Fender to know what they are buying into, and why.

Especially musical products that have this mantle of magic and artsy-fartsy about them. All the more reason to do your homework and know what the crowd-sourced truths are before diving in. Because to the FMIC lawyers, beancounters and stockholders, they're just selling us widgets. The only magic to them is on a dividend check.

I purchased a IV v1 a long time ago and it had fizz really bad. I do like clean channel and so
I returned it within the 30 day period to my Guitar Center and I bought a Vox Ac15C2.

I like the sound of the Vox, but I missed the ability to use a computer and usb port and
the Stereo speakers so when they came out with the V2, I did not even wait for others to
buy them and then come on and read the reports about if it was good or not.
My Mustang IV V2 came yesterday via UPS and I have to say, I really really LIKE it a LOT !!!
The v1 may have had a nicer cover and looks, but the sound of this V2 is fantastic ! I feel like
there were at least 10 to 12 channels of the 100 that were very clean tones and I loved the
way the clean was CLEAN and no fizz.

About a month ago I paid 199 for a used Fender Frontman 212R and the clean tones are fantastic and I knew the speakers on the new V2 with 150 watts was going to sound even better, and it does.

I am setting up my laptop that I hardly use ( bought a Ipad 3 ) and now Im putting tons of programs on it for recording and fender fuse and having fun.

IF you are thinking about buying a Fender Mustang but were afraid of the fizz, not everything had it, and only on the clean channels anyway, but the new V2 is NICE !!!

I love my v1 M4 because the clean settings on twin reverb, deluxe, and princeton are perfect.

so I don't need anything else. pretend it's a real tube amp (that you got 2X12 celestian speakers for for $425) and use whatever pedals you need for whatever else.
