Hmmm...

I guess Fender choose to pass on my suggestion to name the V2 upgrade "FizzLess". Probably didn't want to unnecessarily raise expectations.

well, people are starting to receive their V2 amps theses days (according to a bunch of complaining buds from the fuse forum that can not make them to work properly with fuse) so it would be cool if any of them can do a fizz test (particularly with M3-4-5 models)

Where's "inside info guy"? I think his name was 'Gasmaster' or something like that.... he has all the inside info straight from his source. :D

This question was asked and answered about ten replies ago in this same thread. The suggestion is that it's a Silvertone (look for post by 'MusicMaster2'), although for obvious trademark reasons it's unlikely Fender will be able to officially confirm that.

 ... thanks

... but why this amp? I couldn't find any examples on youtube, or anything else, for having an expressive and indispensable sound.

Judging by the graphic representation in the new version of Fuse, its official that it is indeed an unofficial Silvertone amp.

Silvertone amps are kind of a "cult classic" if you will. They were cheap amps made by Sears if I remember right. Rockers in the 60's who couldn't afford Vox or Marshall would use them with great results. Jack White from the White Stripes supposedly uses one, or has used one, as part of his signature tone.

I was in a band with someone who had one in 1967-8. It had a 6x10" cab. I think it was 100 watts. It was the biggest and baddest amp anyone had at that time in my circle of musicians. It was also a great price compared to Fenders. It was a beast and the guitar played had the "touch". He just needed to be heard. Definitely a tone worthy of recall.

Beck (not Jeff), then Jack White played Silvertones a lot. The 6V6 ones sound pretty cool dimed--lackluster, wimpy, dull cleans (I own a 1482). The 6L6 higher-powered versions are not universally well-liked for tone, nothing special about them. The reverb tanks are notably awful-sounding. Just their retro-cool poser factor. The amps in general don't hold up well, cabs are garbage, speakers mediocre and super-cheap components throughout, hard to maintain. There are a lot of empty 6-10 cabs around as guys stripped them for their vintage Jensens.

Where in Germany? Thomann says it will be availible 1 april (maybe a 1 april joke haha..ha.. )

A lot of swedes buy their stuff from Thomann or Musicstore because our local shops are expensive like $@!&, and also the crown is strong so the euro is cheap (and the pound and dollar are cheap like ****)
