Hi there...first posting from me here, so I hope you can help and give some advice. I'm waiting for my Mustang V to arrive next week but I've already checked the manual. I want to connect a few of my favorite stompboxes to the mustangs fx loop. How can I connect my mono-input/output efffects to the stereo fx-loop? Ok - I have a few ones with mono inputs and stereo outs but if I'm using just one send-output of the mustang and feeding the loop return with 2 ( left and right) inputs from my pedal...wouldn't this mute one channel ( the one with no send out, only the return connected)???
Or can I use a y-cable to connect both fx-send channels to a mono input of a stompbox?
Hmm..I have so many pedals and rack devices...but never had a device with a stereo INPUT!!!
thx for your help...

Hi

The FX loop on the Mustang 3-4-5 is after all modelling is done, and right before the power amp and the speaker... there a re very good chances that the effect you want to add should go before the amp itself, using the mono instrument input and not the fx loop.

If for whatever reason you need to put an effect after the modelling (thus using the fx loop) like in the case of a reverb or eq something like that, you can simply use a proper Y cable
