I have a Mustang V and 412, running Fuse MAC version.
I have downloaded firmware 1.9 and 1.10, Fuse "Update Firmware" is grayed out.
When I turn my amp on as per the instructions for firmware, press and hold wheel while powering on, I get nothing in the display, it is blank even after sitting a while after I let off.
Any ideas what I have to do in both places fuse and amp to get something to show up so I can redo firmware on my amp?

do you have the amp connected to the computer via USB cable and the amp powered on when you see this?

Hi GTrimble0717,

It is normal for your screen to be solid blue when you reboot your amp into update mode. That means it is ready to be updated. When connected to Fender FUSE, you should get two choices (Bundled & Downloaded). From there, you would select the appropriate one for you and the amp should begin updating. If you have downloaded the specific v1.10 firmware, you will want to select the Downloaded option and navigate to the file location and select it. From there, Fender FUSE should begin the update.

Please let us know if we can assist further.

Strings,
Thank you for the reply. Yes I see this with the computer plugged up to the amp head.
Fender Fuse "Main Menu/Utilities/Update FirmWare" is grayed out. Cannot select either 1.9 or 1.10 update, no way to navigate to it. Additionally my amp head "Window" is green with black writing, it is a blank green backlit window when turning the amp on with wheel pushed down.
Nothing happens either place amp head or fuse.

Thank you for the reply. I do not have a solid blue screen. I get nothing when connected to Fuse, I can not get to a point where I can even select bundled or downloaded.

Hi GTrimble0717,

Thanks for your follow up. It sounds like your PC is having some challenges with Fender FUSE and connecting to the amp in update mode. I wanted to clarify that the blue screen I am referring to is the screen on the amp and not Fender FUSE. I would suggest that you try updating the amp with another PC or Mac computer. If you are able to do this, the update should work and get the amp back to its normal operating state.

Then, I would suggest that if you Fender FUSE is still not functioning on your current PC that you contact us directly for additional support on that. Please let us know how its going and how we can assist. Thanks much.

I used my old crap XP computer with Fuse 2.6.0 and everything went without a hitch, very smooth, recognized and firmware updated to 1.10
A little disappointed though, I wanted to use my new Macbook Pro as my my studio equipment, I think there might be some problems with USB 3.0 and whatnot, and I noticed my Fuse version on there is 2.6.0.25 but have been hearing there is a 2.6.1.35 out there, maybe I need to get that and see how things go. I any event, it all worked out and I guess I'll keep this junker xp laptop around awhile. Thanks for all your help.
P.S. The Fuse upgrade to 2.6.1.35 on the macbook pro solved everything. works like a charm.
