Just wondered if anyone is gigging with 2 mustangs set to different settings... say dirty on one and clean or modulated on the other.

personally I do not, but wondering why anyone would do that instead of creating 2 presets with those settings and using the foot switch to select? Do you mean using 2 amps for 2 guitars?

I mean at the same time in stereo, through an A/B/Z switch, to fatten up the sound.

I have *two* Deluxe Reverbs with a Radial Engineering JX2 switcher for A/B/Both. I also have their classic tube distortion and their hot british distortion pedals.

It is cool because you have so many combinations of sounds both clean, and crunch. Plus you have a backup if one amp bites the dust.

I have a Mustang 2 and your options with two would be enormous especially with a pedal or two. My Mustang 2 takes the aforementioned distortion pedals and my wah quite well. I mic it in the studio though and have never played out with it..... yet.

I love the layered sound of two amps. Nothing in a single amp can compare.

20 years ago I used a Peavey Heritage VTX and a Yamaha G100 together. It was sweet. I occasionally used a Pan pedal and would sweep the sound across the two amps. ( a little self indulgent but still cool)

:P

I'm thinking about it. I just got my Mustang 2 a month ago I'm really digging it. I like it so much that bought one for my son as a Christmas present. For some odd reason, he wants to keep using his practice amp. Instead of sending the M2 back I'm thinking about keeping it and gigging with both of them. I could set them side by side or spread them out for better separation.

thats funny you say that ^^ just got a mustang v and now my dad was thinkin of getting a mustang instead of using his princteon chorus, it would be easy to replicate sounds since hes older and lazy doesnt really want to find the same tones all the time. Would this be a good idea or kinda of dumb? lookin for honest feedback

wow, I hope you guys have roadies!

Come to think of it, my guitar is made for this kind of setup, it's a BB King Lucille which features 2 output jacks. I'd love to hear a demo of this rig, specifically using Mustang amps if anyone tries it.
