Can we first clarify exactly how far you've got in the process - it's not completely clear (at least not to me) from your post.

Have you successfully downloaded the FUSE installer ? That is, if you click on this link and do "Save Target As..." is the file correctly copied to your computer? When the download has finished, you should have a file with size 315MB.
http://wpc.077d.edgecastcdn.net/00077D/ ... 6.0.25.exe

If you can't even get that far, then there's a problem with your network/PC, nothing to do with FUSE. If this is where you're getting the message "error opening file for writing" it suggests you're trying to save the file to a folder on your computer to which you don't have access permission. Try saving it on your desktop and see if that works.

Assuming you have downloaded the file, when you double-click on it, FUSE should install. Any errors you get here again suggest a permissions issue. The installer needs to run from an Administrator account. To check if you're doing that right, first please tell us what version of Windows you're running. Also please say if any other messages appear during the installation before the error message. And if any dialog boxes appear, tell us exactly what option you choose (Yes/No/OK/Cancel/etc) in each one.

Finally, if the installation was successful and you get the error message when you try and run FUSE, then it's probably best if you speak to Fender TSL directly as they'll know better what type of things FUSE is trying to access that might cause such an error.

Hi frruiz22,

We would suggest that you restart your PC. From there, try launching Fender FUSE to confirm whether or not it has installed correctly and will run. And please let us know how it goes. And we can go from there. Thanks much.

Try checking your system processes in the task manager. If "FUSEServer.exe" is running, try closing it. This is how I fixed the problem. I just left the FUSEWeb process (it had a longer name like "FUSEWeb5.4.1launcher" or something like that) open, closed FUSEServer and the update completed without problem.

Hope that helps.

Hi itchix,

Thanks for your input here. Please disregard the previous information I posted here. I was actually addressing another person on this thread.

Best Regards,

Alan
