Hi to all!

i became a new ower of a Mustang I two days ago.

I tried to connect aux to my cell phone in order to play some music while i'm playing guitar and i'd found that my guitar doesn't sound.

I saw that in the following post Triff had a similar issue:
viewtopic.php?f=27&t=74906&p=884398&hilit=aux+input#p884398

but in my case, once i´d disconect the stereo cable from the aux input, i still can not hear my guitar.
I tried to connect fuse, and tune the guitar: NO SIGNAL
I´ve done a factory reset as described in manuals, NO SIGNAL
I´ve updated the firmware once again, NO SIGNAL.

Volume on guitar is at max level,
Yes, aux input is the only thing that has signal, but not my guitar...
Guitar is brand new, so, it cant be
cable guitar is new, so it cant be.

I NEED HELP GUYS!!

sorry about my english.. i´ve to practice that too...

Has the amp ever worked normally? That is, could you hear your guitar through it before the first time you plugged anything into the aux socket?

Is there anything plugged into the headphone socket? (this doesn't match your symptom exactly, just covering all bases).

Can you try a different guitar and cable - even if they're new, they might be faulty (or try anything else plugged into the guitar input to the amp - doesn't have to be a guitar, anything producing a low-level signal will do for the test). Or, can you try the same guitar and cable in a different amp to confirm if they are working?

Have you checked that both the Volume and Master knobs are turned up. (For reasons we won't digress into here, to keep this simple: for the Volume knob, turn it down first then back up: don't just assume that if it's pointing at '7' (for example) that it's ok).

Hi Scott, first of all i would like to thank your reply.

The amp was working perfectly since i´ve got, if fact, i´ve both things (guitar, amp, and yes, cable guitar fender) since last saturday.

So, before i´ve tried to connect anything to aux in everything was working fine.

I´d tried with and without headphone connected, i´d try practically everything, that's the reason i had mentioned the Fuse example. Even connecting fuse, and trying to "tune" the guitar, the amp does not receive any signal and consequently, fuse neither.

I had not the opportunity to use another cables.

Tomorrow i´ll go to the store with the amp, in order to make them watch the mess.

Thanks again for your reply, and i´ll let you know how this thing goes.

Any other help will be kindly appreciated.

happy new year to all.

Hi urulucho,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having some trouble with your amp. Typically with an amp that new, we suggest that you go back to the retailer where you purchased the amp, and exchange the unit. Please let us know how things go when you go back to the store. And let us know if we can assist further.
