Hi john12359,

We will be happy to assist. You can connect your iPod to the Fender Mustang II using an Auxiliary cable (1/8" Plug to 1/8" Plug). This cable should be available at most local electronic stores or at stores such as: Best Buy, Radio Shack, Wal-Mart etc. If you are looking for backing tracks we recommend you create a new Fender FUSE Community account and download Band Tracks from our Fender FUSE Community site. Please let us know how it goes and if we can assist further.

If your trying to hook up the USB you need the USB adapter from Apple. The USB cable should hook directly into that.

You can't use USB to play ipod music through a Mustang amp's speaker. The amp's USB is sound output only, not sound input. The analogue, stereo aux-in socket is the right way to connect an ipod to a Mustang (using the ipod's headphone socket).

Hi Guys,

Scott-uk is correct here. The USB port on the Fender Mustang amps is an audio output. And the Aux input is the correct port to use for the above described use. Please let us know if we can assist with anything regarding this as well. Thanks.
