Mustang 1 and 2 use 1 button footswitch only. Mustang 3-5 can use 2button or 4 button. I am not sure about the Floor

Also...

Mustang 3, 4 and 5 can use both 2 and 4 button footswitches together (ie 6 buttons total).

The Mustang 3 comes with the 2 button switch (and you can buy the 4 button as an add-on).

The Mustang 4 and 5 come with the 4 button footswitch (and you can buy the 2 button as an add-on).

Also, you can add the EXP-1 expression pedal to the Mustang 3 to 5, in addition to the above footswitches.

Further, the Mustang 4 button footswitch is specific to the Mustang, and is the MS-4 switch. There is a very similar looking Fender 4 button footswitch for the GDEC amp - this is a different part and will not work properly with the Mustang. Some people report that it partially works, but it's not the correct part for a Mustang amp.

I've posted the Fender part numbers for all the Fender footswitches in other topics, and other people have copied my post into yet more topics. To save you searching, here's a link to my original post:

That also contains a link to a Fender support article containing much the same info.
