I think it'd be a good idea to have a single thread for users asking for features not present in the actual product, making it a "sticky", maybe?

Here I go:

* a "global EQ", so you can match the tone you're hearing through your speaker or FRFR, in the case of a Mustang Floor, to the tone being sent to the FOH. Particulary useful for the church guitar player, and the Mustang Floor being the ideal product for'em.

* A four-band "Parametric EQ" as stompbox.

* A seven-band "Graphic EQ" as stompbox for guitar.

* A seven-band "Graphic EQ" as stompbox for bass.

* A 31-band "Graphic EQ" as Rack Effect.

* Some amp models and cabinets for bass. Ampeg, Gallien-Krueger, Aguilar, Mark Bass, SWR, Eden, Hartke and Fender's own Rumble, just to name a few that would do great.

HTH,

1. A multitap delay which is understandable and flexibel (not like it is now)
2. A good complete manual including all the possibilities of the effect likeur the delay parameters etc.

Slots for 3rd party Cab Impulse Responses or (IRs) to be loaded... That would help immensely with direct recording...

I'd like to be able to edit the Mustang using an iPad.
I currently have an iPad clipped to my mic stand for lyrics etc but the ability to adjust parameters on the Mustang from the iPad without going back to the amp would be fantastic!

And OD and Comp available at the same time in a preset!

I have a Mustang Floor and I like it a lot, but the Zoom G5 is way more flexible and usable to me..

I want it to be able to do this...

and this

and stack delays or up to nine effects in any order..

I haul my Mini 7 down to the beach, about a 25 minute walk to where I plant myself. I would like to see the aux input more like on the Vox Mini 3: a mic input with adjustable volume and adjustable reverb/delay. As it is, if I want my piezo equipped guitars to use their full stereo capability (Like my beloved Ovation VXT) I wouldn't need to also haul my Pandora PX-5 and an equalizer to use to boost to a decent level. I doubt if it would ever happen, but it is my wish. Every ounce counts. BTW I love my Fender bag: has more pockets than a pool hall.

A new hyper type modeling technology for the mustang that can also do sampling from other amps, you would be able to record a sample of your favorite amp and then use it with the new factory amp models already in the mustang,it would be good if fender could allow you to use a sampled amp model with a factory amp model or two sampled models it you wanted to so the two amp models can be blended together, something like the digitech GNX modeling floorboards do.

I would also like to see more cabinet models to choose from, maybe around 30 would be good.

Just curious: what features does the Mustang have that are better than the Zoom?

(I assume the Mustang must be the better product in some areas, otherwise everyone would just buy the Zoom. Maybe every product is a compromise of features at a certain price point: the manufacturers could add every feature, but then it would cost a lot more...)

The Fender Floor just seems to have a lot better tone when I run it through my power amp setup. It just seems thicker to my ears and more tube like. The Zoom G5 is good, but a little thin. I have a Blues Deluxe and a Blues Deville and I can get pretty close to the same tone with the Floor, but the Zoom G5 just lacks the luster. The modulations, flanges, delays and looper make the Zoom G5 shine though, because I use them in my effects loop of my tube amps..

This is what I use as a power amp for my Floor and Zoom G5...

I'm loving the Mustang IV and my new Amn. Dlx Strat. However, I would prefer to have the Mustang V head amp.

Because, I'm not as young or as strong as I was, I needed a roadie for the heavier 4x cab that goes with the Mustang V. I would really like to see (and have):

1 ) A Mustang V related 2x 12 cab (perhaps, 2) rather than the heavier and cumbersome existing 4x cab. This would help me to load the gear into a smaller vehicle. I would like to see them configured as two stereo cabs, maybe, individually and combined. (You could call them Colts :P )

2 ) Maybe, options on speaker choice could come into play?

3 ) A simple user re-arranging of installed presets so that they would remain static upon shut down and turn on.

4 ) A flexible looper incorporated with some removable storage capability.

5 ) The option of, perhaps, using an acoustic electric with the Mustang at times.

6 ) The controls to face me from the front, rather than on top. A slight angle, such as 30-40 degrees would be even better to view the LCD. I suppose there could be reasons on a live set to have the display as is, however.

7 ) A hybrid tube/SS version with a clean channel and/or mix when needed.

8 ) Video instructions instead of the limited manuals/info for things like the EXP-1 pedal (and others like the Floor).

9 ) Shorter Fender related cables for daisy chaining with the Floor, four and/or two button switches would be helpful.

10 ) Software that works with Windows 8.

11 ) An expanded version of the Mustang series . . . maybe, call it the Stallion series.

12 ) A blank check book and the funds to support it.

Having said the above, I loved the sound of the tube amps from the past and now; but, I have to hand it to you Fender . . . great job on a great amp series for today and the future. It's got MOJO written all over it.

Great looking too. Don't change it.

Plus 1 on an iPad version of fuse. Also, would like to see a univibe stomp box added or, some tweaks to the vibratone stompbox if it was intended to provide that emulation.

And please, please, please improve the graphic interface for adjusting amp knobs in fuse. Maybe allow a right-click to expose a mixer-style slider. Maybe there is a trick to adjusting the round knobs that I'm not aware of but I'm frequently frustrated by movement that doesn't correlate to the mouse tracking.

I'd love to have a simple way to do an a/b comparison between a currently edited preset and the current saved preset to see what effect changes have made.

Hi everyone,

I had a question regarding the Mustang amp series that I wasn’t able to find by doing a search and figured this was a good thread to ask.

I was wondering if Fender had any plans to release the Mustang in a smaller desktop sized format? I was looking at the Mustang Floor but don’t really need the foot switches, expression pedal or the large physical size. Essentially the Mustang “brains” and LCD in a smaller enclosure to run in front of an amp or board would be ideal and I imagine could be a good seller for Fender.

Does anyone know if this is already in the works or think it would be a good next step? Thanks!

You mean smaller than the Mini?

Amplifier Depth:

6.69" (17 cm)

Amplifier Width:

9.45" (24 cm)

Amplifier Height:

9.45" (24 cm)

Amplifier Weight:

7.25 lbs. (3.3 kg)

It's pretty small. This video actually shows it on a desktop:

Hi strings,

Thanks for your suggestion! I was thinking a Mustang III or IV without the speaker and cab. I’m guessing it is frowned upon to link off to a competitor site but something similar to a POD is what I had in mind. Including the LCD and not having to hook it up to a computer to make edits would be ideal.
