OK, what you report sounds strange, it shouldn't be that complicated. I'll offer some suggestions for PC, if you're on a Mac some of this might be a bit different so I'll leave a Mac person to comment:

First, download FUSE from this link for PC:

http://wpc.077d.edgecastcdn.net/00077D/ ... 6.0.25.exe

or this link for Mac:

http://wpc.077d.edgecastcdn.net/00077D/ ... 6.0.25.dmg

That should be a straightforward download that takes a couple of minutes. If it doesn't work, then it's probably a network problem or something on your PC, which I'm afraid I can't help with unless you can give more details of exactly what's going on.

Assuming the download works, then just double-clicking the downloaded file should install it. What, exactly, happens when you do that? What do you see on the screen, what dialog boxes and messages are displayed?

** Advanced: before running the downloaded exe file, you should of course do a virus-scan on it.

** Advanced 2: before running the downloaded exe file, go to Control Panel, Programs and Features, and de-install any existing installations of Fender FUSE or Microsoft Silverlight.

Make sure that you close all other programs/windows, just in case the installation window is hidden behind something else.

When you think it's finished, wait a couple of minutes just in case any other windows appear, and follow any further instructions on screen.

You should then have the FUSE app in your Start menu, and maybe a desktop icon. Launch the application, it should start up and tell you your amp isn't connected.

If you then connect your amp via USB to your PC, after a few seconds (again, give it a couple of minutes the first time, just to be sure) it should then connect to your amp.

If you do all the above and don't get the expected results, please post back with EXACTLY what you did, and EXACTLY what you saw, what the result was, what the computer displayed on the screen, etc.

Hi spqr163,

Seems like scott-uk is giving you some great advice. If you are seeing issue with your amp not connecting we would recommend that you look in your device manager (for Windows) to see if your Mustang device is being recognized through the USB connection. If you are on a MAC you can check to see if your Mustang device is connected under System Preferences/Sound tab. We do offer a newer Beta Release build of Fender FUSE, that has undergone a lot of testing and is getting ready to be released. I have attached a link below and let us know if we can assist further. Thanks.

when i deleted it the last 2 times i did delete the silverlighning, and did reinstall. the program does work, and i can connect it to my amp. the issue i am running into is trying to download other sounds that people post. when i click on it to download the usual screen (in the video blue) doesn't show up. it opens the fender folder under programs. so i tried to download it there and then move it. an icon shows up but nothing is downlaoded (0kb), so when i try to delete it says adobe flash is in use so i have to shut down the computer restart it then delete it. i also tried going through regular windows (not the fender app) and tried it that way same thing didn't work.

Hmm, sounds like you're having network/download problems, rather than anything with the FUSE application or website.

I just tried downloading a preset, both from a browser and FUSE. Both routes seem to work fine.

I'm not sure why Adobe Flash is involved, unless the FUSE website is using that to manage the downloads (the download does seem to bypass the browser's usual download options, which is kind-of unhelpful of Fender as it makes troubleshooting harder). Might be worth de-installing Adobe Flash and re-installing the latest version, then trying again.

Also, maybe just try a different preset, in case there's something faulty with the one you were trying to download originally.
