I made a recording last night to demonstrate how a standard passive volume pedal can be used to emulate a horn sound with the Mustang III amp. Details about the amp settings are shown at the end of the video.

Note: the Fender EXP-1 Expression Pedal can't do this (as far as I know), because it controls the overall gain. You can't do volume swells that continue on via reverb and delay because it controls the overall master volume, not just input volume. Maybe there is a setting somewhere to change that, but I was not able to find it. I still use the EXP-1, but only for overall volume control - not swells. I used a Dunlop passive volume pedal for the volume swells.

Thanks for all the compliments. I love this amp! FYI, I also play a Strat, so no offense to Fender for me using a Les Paul in the recording. See "Ode to Sergio" in my YouTube channel for an example of the Strat's great clean tone!

Hi JosephREllis,

You can use the Expression mode on your Fender Mustang Floor to control Volume. For your usage, this would be the place you want to control this as it does not clip reverb or delay tails, etc. You can select this on the Mustang Floor in the Pedal menu or in Fender FUSE in the Main Menu/Utilities/Expression Pedal (or Control+E/Win & Command+E/Mac).

Please check this out. And please let us know if we can assist further.
