You've posted the same question twice. I've answered it in your other post here:

Hi a-line,

Thanks scott-uk for providing that link. a-line, if you are still seeing issues with your DAW software not connecting with your Mustang III, you might want to try and install the new ASIO4ALL Beta release build driver. If that still doesn't solve the issue, we recommend you contact SONY Music Studio Support for further trouble shooting. Please let us know if we can assist further.

I have downloaded both etc... contacted Sony with very little success.... so far all I'm able to do is use the headphone jack as a line out.. which sounds like poop... I really wish Fender would've put a 1/4 inch line out on the back of the amp like everyone else does... having to use adapters etc really degrades the tone of the amp... kinda disappointed in this amp now... using the Fender ASIO with Sony all I hear is either the amp or the other tracks.. something about the Mustang not supporting playback...

If you can't get the Sony software to recognise the ASIO driver then that's a problem with the PC / Sony software, not with the Mustang amp.

As for a "1/4 line out" - the Mustang 3 does have a socket you can use for this, the fx-send socket on the back.

As for "something about the Mustang not supporting playback" - hmmm, sounds like you're trying to send audio from the Sony software back to the amp - although you haven't mentioned before that's what you want to do. So perhaps now would be a good time to describe exactly what it is you want to achieve, so that people here can answer your specific problem: it's not obvious from your original post.

Note: if what you want to do is use the Mustang to playback audio from your PC over USB then no, you can't do that with the Mustang amp. The Mustang USB port is for audio output only (plus configuration/control via FUSE).

Hi a-line,

You may want to check out the support information via the included link below as well as possibly contacting Sony Support directly. It appears that Sony does support the ASIO driver standard, in which case either the Fender Universal driver or the beta ASIO For All driver should work. Please let us know how it goes and if there is anything else we can do.

HI... thank you for the help.. I've had the Flu bug going around the house the last few weeks, so I haven't been able to do much experimenting, but I will very soon and let guys know the results. As for what I was trying to do... basically I wanted to use the Mustang amp via the usb out into my computer and input sound into Sony Acid Music 8, the same way I've been able to do with the IK Multimedia Stealth Plug. So far I can occasionally get the software to recognize the Fender ASIO as input (ie get signal, record parts etc) but when I'm recording a part I can't hear it or the other tracks at the same time. And when I want to playback what I've recorded I have to change the audio settings in the Sony software, thus making it impossible to accomplish anything since I can't monitor anything I'm recording. I have contacted Sony with very little response. But I will keep trying and also experiment with your suggestions... Thank you again very very much!!

Hi a-line,

Thanks for the reply. I hope you feel better ASAP. So, if I understand correctly, you can set monitoring on in your Sony app., but it only works some of the time. Is that correct? So, you end up having to switch back and forth as your working. And you are not getting reliable tracking. Is that correct? Perhaps once you are feeling better you can check this out a bit further and message us directly via email. This sounds like more of a ASIO with Sony apps. type of issue at this point.

At any rate, please let us know how it goes. And we can go from there.
