Hi!

As I understand it, the mustang are almost hi-fi when using the aux with a music player. Could one use it as a party amp with good results? Some sell these single speaker systems for I phone and such. Is the mustang much different than these?

Best regards
Madsen

Try it ! but I think the tonal balance will be off - plus you need 2 for stereo.
If you are good at soldering and electronics you could combine it with your normal hi fi speakers and take a combined mono feed via a self built tone filter so the Mustang out puts a band of frequencies. I wouldn't have time for that but you may!
(output to M2 not via speaker leads though !! you need output from tape out - line level)

Hi Madsen,

We will be happy to assist. This is probably the first time we hear of this application, but there is certainly nothing preventing you from using your Fender Mustang II as a "party speaker" :D The AUX input is a fairly "neutral" input, but the main difference between your Mustang II and a Hi-Fi receiver is that you won't have much of and option to change parameters, like you would on a Stereo receiver. Please let us know how the party goes :) and if we can assist further.

I wouldn't use it for party music or such. It's a guitar amp and not the boom boom box

This is my first post on the Fender Forum. The M2 works great as a party speaker.

At my family's Christmas party, everyone wanted me to bring my guitar. I wanted to come up with some kind of entertainment, instead of just doodling on the guitar. I decided that I would jam to backing tracks.

I have a lot of backing tracks on my laptop as well as all my music on itunes. I ran the laptop into the aux input and it sounded great. When I was done playing, I fired up itunes and it sounded really good too.

Pretty much did the same thing. Had it in the backyard for a BBQ, when ever I wanted, I could jam along!
