Hi!

My family have started to complain about my guitar noise, so I started to wear headphones. But, my problem is that the distorted presets I use sounds really really bad through the headphones, much different than through the Mustang 2 speaker. It is the same with USB recording, not good! Any hints for what to adjust such that it will sound pretty much the same through the speaker and the headphones? The distortion just sounds "wrong" or "digital" for lack of a better word...
Clean presets are ok through both, so I think it is a distortion thing...

Best Regards,
Madsen

Maybe different headphones. I have only played the cranking, distorted stuff through headphones. I love it. I get completely lost in it, especially knowing that only I can hear it. Very liberating. I have used both good sony headphones and basic earbuds. Works for me. I hope you find what you need to enjoy yourself.

I have an SCX2 for "real' in the air playing, so my Mustang1 is the one that gets the most time for me at home. 6 months a year I live in a big tent at the edge of a forest. I have electric but quiet time is 10 PM. I have gone deep into the late night with just my headphones. "Tush" anyone? Oh yeah. Hendrix?

Love my Mustang for letting me rock at any time.

Thank you for the reply. I did try several headphones and it is the same. Maybe it is the small room I am playing in that is adding something to the sound to make the m2 speaker sound so good?
What preset are you using which sounds great distorted?

Some British 80's (Marshall) tweaks I made. I think one may have been a zz top preset I got and tweaked a little. Sounded good from the start. Also a preset called Basic Shred for the American 90's. I use tiny bits of large plate reverb and delay with level around 2 and delay time at 2ish also. This combination "moistens" things up and makes it sound like I am in a really big room.

A caution: I am a bass player who enjoys fiddling with lead guitar. My advice may be less than helpful, LOL.
