I'm thinking about buying a Mustang II, so I thought i'd have a look at the manual, aswell as watching reviews.

When I noticed this...

http://support.fender.com/manuals/guita ... nglish.pdf

On page 3 where the effects are shown, the delay/reverb only shows 6 effects (3 from both bank A and B), but on the amp, the knob has 4 groups of effects (A,B,C,D - and there should be 3 effects in each)

Why is this?

Are they to be assigned by me? using FUSE?

Also, Is it possible to change the depth/amount of effect being used? not just the tempo?

Err, the table continues (with the bank C and D items) at the top of the second column on the page...

Yes you can change all the parameters. You may have to use FUSE (ie software running on a PC connected to the amp) to access some parameters, I'm not sure if they're all available directly on the amp with a Mustang 2.

(cf Mustang 3 which has more/better on-amp editing than the M-2. The M-3 may be a better choice if you're already thinking about doing a lot of effects editing).

On the Mustang 2 amp itself you can change the tempo of timing effects. You can also change the intensity of the mod/delay and reverb effects on the amp.

In Fuse there are a lot more parameters you can tweak than just intensity and tempo, of course, and you can save your changes to the amp either as part of a preset or as a choice on the Mod/delay and reverb mods (though it can be hard to remember what you saved where). For more money, the MIII allows you to change the additional parameters on the amp. Personally I prefer to tweak in Fuse anyway, but I don't tend to tweak a lot anyway once I set up presets I like, and am very happy with the MII.
