Is it possible to have both a Wah and Overdrive pedal at the same time on the Mustang Floor? From what I'm reading since they're both Stomps I don't think so but I haven't gotten mine yet. I'm hoping to run both and use the pedal for the Wah to get a good Hendrix sound.

This has been discussed much before in this forum, so suggest you search around for more information and explanation.

But in short no, you can't have both effects simultaneously. It's one of the most frequent requests to Fender, to fix this in future products.

However, I note in another of your posts that you have a Mustang 3 and a Mustang Floor. There's nothing to stop you having a wah in one Mustang and overdrive in the other.

I found that the fuzz wah is a very good substitute, the fuzz works very well with the wah, also try an high gain amp to compensate the lack of OD stomp. But i think that fuzz wah will do all the hendrix you need.

Right now I'm looking at the Fuse interface to the Mustang Floor and what I'm seeing is that Wah is available in both the Stomp effects list and the Modulation effects list.

So Wah and Overdrive can be combined in a patch. In fact I've just set up a patch to prove it - works fine. Or am I missing something?

I don't think you are missing anything. I vaguely recall reading in another thread that on the Floor, but not on the M3/4/5 you could have both at the same time. Of course, now that you are doing it, I don't suppose my vague recollection adds much!

Interesting...

In the Mustang Floor manual, in the list of effects, there isn't a Wah in the 'Mod' section. However, in the list of MIDI settings at the back of the manual, there is a Wah listed in the Mod section.

Is this a 'hidden' extra effect? Can you access it directly on the M-Floor rather than using FUSE?

It certainly doesn't exist on-amp on my M-4, I haven't had a chance to try with FUSE yet. But as Ovangol says, maybe it's an M-Floor thing only?

I just looked at my Mustang Floor (v1.4) and you can access the wah and the touch wah in the MOD section using the Floor editor (not FUSE).
This gives the possibility to have the overdrive in front of the wah but not the opposite.

Could you reverse the order in Fuse then?

Yes you can reverse the order with FUSE!

But what if you want a Wah (Mod), Comp (Stomp), and Pitch shift (Mod)??

It's been well-documented and discussed that with the Mustangs (amps and Floor), only one effect from each 'type' can be active at a time. So this can't be done.

However, I recall someone posting that a degree of compression could be achieved by adjusting the 'advanced' amp settings. In which case you could use the Stomp group for the Wah and have the Pitch Shift too, thus achieving all three effects simultaneously.

Of course, someone can always be obtuse and come up with a combination that isn't possible by any means... but my experience and it seems that of most people on this forum is that the Mustangs enable enough sensible combinations to cover most real-world requirements.
