should my amp be plugged into my pc while starting the fuse program? or should plug in after it is opened?
Im ready to throw a fit here..

Either a PC problem or a network bandwidth problem. Or a (temporary) problem with the Fender website. But not a problem with FUSE. If you're happy your PC and network connection are otherwise working fine, this isn't anything to worry about as an isolated incident.

This is not normal. Are there any dialog boxes hidden behind the main FUSE window (or any other windows on your screen)?
If it won't respond any other way, stop the process using Task Manager (or similar...) and try again. If the same thing happens, reboot and try again. If it still happens, de-install FUSE and re-install it.

Make sure you de-install it properly, using Control Panel - Programs and Features. Don't just (as someone once did on this forum) just delete the FUSE "Program Files" folder and think that counts as de-installing.

Actually, before re-installing FUSE, it might be worth re-downloading it. If the initial download was slow, there is a (very small) chance that could also have led to a corrupt download. So if it were me, I'd do a fresh download.

Download the latest released version, as per the download link on the fuse.fender.com homepage, ie this link:
http://wpc.077d.edgecastcdn.net/00077D/ ... 6.0.25.exe

I mention that as there are various posts and Fender support pages that reference older versions.

(Or download the 2.6.1.xx beta version that Fender have publicised, if you think you need any of the features in that - but personally at this stage I'd stick with the released version until everything is working properly).

It may also be helpful to uninstall all versions of Silverlight from your PC, and let FUSE re-install the version it wants (which it will do as part of the FUSE installation). Unless of course something else on your PC mandatorily needs Silverlight, in which case we need to look at some other options.

If you've logged into your FUSE account using your web browser, that's different to logging in via FUSE. Given that you've said you can't get FUSE working, then you can't have logged into your account using FUSE itself. So it doesn't surprise me that FUSE says you aren't logged in.

Once you get FUSE running, then you'll be able to login to your FUSE account from within FUSE, and all should be ok.

Hi donmoore,

It seems like you are getting some great advice from scott-uk. We would recommend that you make sure your Microsoft Silverlight version is up to date. Please go to the following location to check http://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight ... fault.aspx . Another step you can do it to delete your Out Of Browser content. This is done in the following way:

WIN
To delete the Microsoft Silverlight “Out Of Browser” folder, please enter %localappdata% in your Search bar in the Start menu (or in Run in the StartMenu forWindows XP). Once you enter this command, you should get a window that shows a number of different folders. Please look for the Silverlight folder inside this location. Once you locate the Silverlight folder, please delete it. For Windows Vista & 7 users, you should also delete the “Local Low” folder for Silverlight. To get to this location, please click on “AppData” in the top of the window you are looking at. Then click on the LocalLow folder, and locate the Microsoft folder. Once there, you will want to delete the Silverlight folder.

MAC
Delete Out Of Browser folder
To delete the Microsoft Silverlight “Out Of Browser” folder, please go to the ‘Go’ heading on the Menu bar on your desktop. Then press/hold the Option button. You will now see ‘Library’ added to the ‘Go’ list. Select Library, and your User/Library folder will open. Inside this folder, navigate to the Application Support folder and open it. Inside the Application Support folder, select the Microsoft folder, then the Silverlight folder. Here you will want to select the ‘OutOfBrowser’ folder. Inside this folder, you will find a folder with a number sequence and text name (i.e. 265635444.localhost). Open this folder to confirm that you see the word FUSE on a file. Then delete the .localhost folder. Once this is done, please launch Fender FUSE and see if the behavior is corrected.

Please feel free to contact us directly at tsl@fender.com should you need further assistance. Thanks
