I think Fender has done very well in introducing the Mustang. I have a Mustang III amp and recently bought the Mustang Floor and I am very happy with both.

I have played music on a semi-professional level for many years. During that time I have used a lot of guitar and amp rigs. For the money the Mustang series is hard to beat. I now use my Mustang amp in a small club venue and I plan to replace my stomp boxes with the Mustang Floor and use it with my '59 Bassman RI for other applications.

My guess is the biggest winner is the person just starting out or somebody who wants to move up to a little better amplication system. I know when I was starting out it was so hard to get good gear, not that it wasn't available, it was just I could not afford it. Now for a couple hundred bucks a beginner can get a good amp and some very cool effects.

You guys at Fender did good.

Looking forward to playing my Mustang III after Christmas. I sometimes wonder why we don't see more posts like this. Nice to see it.

Yes i also agree and it is great that fender and some other company's can sell there amp modeling products at such a low price and give you fantastic bang for the buck but i am still surprised that boss would rather charge you retail prices for there gear, look at the GT-100 for example, the street price is 549.99!,i think they have a 50.00 rebate on it now but that is still too high in my opinion, compare that price to the mustang floor and even with all the bells and whistles the boss GT-100 is not worth 300.00 more then the mustang floor in my opinion.

Roland's GA212 modeling amp is $1199 for a 2x12 200w combo and there GA112 100w 1x12 combo amp is $999,compare that to the mustang III and you would save $700 if you buy the mustang III.

My point here is that even if the boss and roland products sound a little better there products still do not justify prices that are way above there competition.

Yes, I love my Mustang Floor! I've been through a few modeling units from Line 6 and BOSS. They were OK and I used them for years, but after all the tweaking I did on them I realized that I preferred models of Fender amps for almost everything - and Fender models Fender best. The Fender models in my Mustang Floor are light years beyond the Fender models from those other guys. I'm one happy customer! :D

Let's hope Fender haven't made the mistake that Jaguar cars made in the 60s.. priced their product so low that they didn't make enough of a return on it. Every company needs to make profit - I reckon they could have priced the range at least 20% higher .. NO! what am I saying - don't blame me if next range is more costly!
I wonder if it's a bit of a loss leader.. price the amps cheap, sell more Squier and Fender guitars, stomp on the competition.

Nah, I think Fender just found a really good compromise between GREAT modeling and cheap manufacturing.

The Mustang III was the best gear related 299 dollars I ever spent. Good job Fender!

I have had a Mustang 1 since April 2012 and it is the best 110.00 I have ever spent. If I had bought it a couple of weeks earlier, it would have been 10 dollars less. I regret my not buying it then because I had the money. I do not regret paying 10 dollars more though. Worth every penny.

The Mustang 3 is a fabulous unit at a great, affordable price. I keep wanting to do side-by-side comparisons with tube amps just to show it off.

From my previous attempts at using Boss GT-8, I reckon the Mustangs make it simple enough to produce great tones that only a rocket scientist could produce on the Boss.
Besides the Boss and Line-6 are way more pricey.

Agree. The ease with which different tones, in particular good-sounding tones, can be created with the Mustangs compared to several other pieces of kit I tested, were a big factor in my decision to buy a Mustang.

I have a mustang III and love it! I have done several gigs with it and have never had to go higher than 3.5 on it. When I went up to 4 in my old band the other guitar player would complain because he had his Pro Reverb dimed out and still couldn't compete!
ABS :D

I had a Mustang III and it seemed I'd get a terrible headache after playing for more than ten minutes on most of the distortion models. Cleans were fine, just some part of the distortion was just too brittle or digital for my tastes.

The other three tube amps here in the same room I can play for hours on end, at volume, and be just fine. Still, the M3 is nice amp... just not for me.
