I was wondering if it is possible to change the input jack in the Mustang I because buzzes when it is wiggled. I have never yanked on the cable before, but somehow it managed to loosen up....

Yes it is possible, but it depends how much effort you want to go to, opening the amp and resoldering a new socket in place. You'll need to find a socket with the same pin layout to match the connection points on the pcb.

Or if you have a warranty they may just replace the amp.

Are you sure it's the socket that's faulty and not the plug or cable? Suggest trying a different plug/cable first to eliminate (or confirm!) that possibility.

I am 100% positive. It actually started happening 3 months ago, but it didn't really bug me and I thought it was my cable also because I grabbed it from amazon for below $5 HAHA! It was only slightly buzzing until today. I tested it with my other cable and other guitar and it turns out it was the input jack. I tried calling the list of service center from this site about the issue but forgot today was veterans day and everyone has a day off, have to try again tomorrow.

Is this a common issue for this amp or is it just me? I have never been more than 3 ft away from the amp while I am playing so there is no way i have yanked on it hard enough. If anything, my cheap cable would have given in first.

If you search the forum you'll find several topics discussing this. Quite a few people have broken the plastic jacks (more commonly the headphones and aux jacks rather than the guitar input). Some have replaced them with superior metal items. Many more have expressed concern that the jacks are a weak point and treat the jacks very gently.

Another suggestion some have tried is to attach a short plug/socket lead to the amp socket, and fix/tape it to the amp body, then plug/unplug equipment to the plug at the end of this lead, to save strain on the amp sockets.
