I would love to have the ability to set the delay repeats for 1/8th notes and dotted eighth notes, etc. I know that this can be done with tap tempo, but that's close to impossible in a live setting where this feature would be useful. I had a boss me-50 that allowed 1/8th note delays and it is a much older unit. The line 6 pod xt live and x3 both have this too if I'm not mistaken. Please consider this in a future update as this is the only thing this unit lacks for me. 8)

P.s. Dual delays like eight notes + quarters would be an awesome feature as well, although that might be asking a bit much :)

Having not seen an ME-50 or other equipment that does this, I'm curious: how does the unit know (or how do you tell it) how long an "1/8th note" actually is?

Hi tylerscott20,

I am not familiar with the specific piece you are talking about. However, you can actually calculate delay times and set up some Presets to your taste accordingly. You may find the link below interesting. It includes some specific delay times. Please let us know if we can assist further.

Scott-uk,
It actually calculates it automatically based on the tempo you tap in. In essence it's only a ratio multiplier. For example, an eight note gets half a beat,(at least it does in 4/4 and 2/4 time) so it cuts the delay time for a quarter note in half, giving you an eighth note repeat. It's really no different than calculating it out by the tempo.

Fender TSL,
That link was very interesting, but for playing live mostly in church without a click(thankfully) it's not guaranteed what the tempo may be. We may play it at 90 BPM in practice on Wednesday, but come Sunday it may be more like 100 or 105 BPM.

Hi Guys,

Where I was going with this was that you can manually enter the delays you want ahead of time either on the unit or in Fender FUSE. This way, you can have them be available quickly, without having to use the Tap at all. It is simply another option. Of course this also depends on how accurate the tempos are in live performance as well. Please let us know if we can assist further.

Why don't you just tap on the eighths, or tuplets, or whatever division you want repeats on??

That would work, but it would still be a nice feature anyway. It's also a lot more convenient to be able to tap quarter notes to the tempo due to the mixing together of songs we do that change speeds. In all honesty though, I'll probably just buy a dedicated delay like a tc electronics nova delay or flashback since these have both subdivisions and dual delays.

Yeah, my ME-25 can do this as well, and it can be convenient.

What would really be off the hook is if Fender could augment the multi-tap delay to mix dotted delays with the existing beat subdivisions (bonus points if the delays could be panned in stereo).
