Yup, getting the Fuse black screen of death and no .dll for firmware updates. I've tried the recommended fixes, mostly. I'm seeing that this pops up with users that had no previous issues. For some it occurs with each update as well.
NOT being stable discourages chasing the fix for sure.

So, before I return the item I am asking myself at $199 maybe I should find a place(old school) in which I tweak on my own and see it as a fine basic modeler.
One catch to this outlook is that although I can hear the potential, I am not satisfied with the presets and was counting on downloading patches that others have tweaked to no end.

Seriously, ppl get on a waiting list for a $199 booteek pedal that does just one thing.
Just need a way to get my head around turning back time/expectations.
Shouldn't be so hard at fiddy, right?

Couldn't understand everything you were saying there, but I think I got the basics. I have a Mustang Floor and looked at Fuse once, but don't know that it's that useful for me. I've used a few different modelers before and I know what I need to do. There's 4 or 5 basic patches that'll cover about everything for me. So I just start the amp model for each of those sounds, set the tones and gains and effects and save them. As I use them live, I realize little changes that'll make them better and tweak as necessary. For me, that gets me to where I need to be with a modeler much faster than endlessly listening to other peoples patches. Your mileage may vary...

You don't need FUSE to edit your Floor patches and I encourage you to do so, not all factory patches may be to your liking. But for me FUSE makes it easier to edit and arrange patches.
I don't use FUSE to get other people's patches I just make my own.
