Has anyone noticed that the Mustang Floor (and perhaps other models) suffers some volume loss with certain effects on? I've found this on the ring modulator and the wah effects, but there could be others. I run these pre amp sim if that helps. One obvious work-around is to set the exp pedal to be a boost, but this isn't very useful because I need to switch to the effects and have the volume correct at that very moment. Perhaps this can be fixed with a firmware thingy. Adding a level parameter in addition to the blend (mix?) parameter would be awesome. It makes sense why the wah and ring mod effects are quieter, but it's a definite problem for me and it seems like a fix could be possible.

I'm new to this forum and forums in general so go easy on me.

Another workaround is to use the Compressor or Overdrive as a clean boost. I've found the Vibratone to cut volume as well.

I really wish Fender would publish a real manual explaining various parameters. I know they expect you to experiment, but it can be hit or miss, and I keep finding myself writing out patches in freaking longhand so I can try to figure out why some tiny tweak made such a big difference in tone. Frustrating and time-consuming.

This comp/od workaround doesn't work in the particular situation I'm in with the ring modulator, but this would be easier than the volume pedal boost option because one can hit both the "mod" and "stomp" pedals at the same time with a crooked foot - hopefully this helps someone out. I'm ok with the vibratone dropping the signal because it seems less drastic, but it is my favorite of the mod effects, so it'd be nice if had an inherent 2-3 db boost or something - the ring mod probably needs 6db, but as most people don't use ring mods at all, this is prolly not gonna result in much specific outcry.

Bottomline - we need a "mod boost" parameter (and a detailed manual with explanations of the effects' parameters would be a nice, too).
