Hello everyone!
I Don't know if this is the right place to post this topic, but im new to the fender forum.

I recently bought a Mustang II guitar amp at the local guitar shop. It souds amazing and i like to record some of the things that i play. Now i have installed amplitube and the ableton software, and the ASIO fender drivers. When I connect to ableton live and to amplitube i don't hear any sound trough my computer speakers, and im still unable to record and playback with this divices. I mainly tried out ableton because i can't find the record button in the fender amplitube software. Within ableton, i can see that it is recognising my mustang and that when i play i can see that it is getting imput from the mustang II. But i still can't record nor can i hear any sound i play.

Anyone know how to solve this? it is keeping me awake for the last three days and i can't seem to find a solution. Im using the software on my laptop with a build in soundcard.

Sorry for the bad english!

Greetings

You have to set up Ableton to record. No one was able to tell me how to do that properly on here. I had to read the HELP files that come with Ableton to learn how to do that.

Now, recording in AmpliTube, be aware that AmpliTube is amp modelling software. Your Mustang ALWAYS models an amp...so you're probably double-amping the signal. I find that AmpliTube is way more useful and better if you have a straight guitar signal going into your computer. I use a Rocksmith USB cable for this, but IK Multimedia (the guys who make AmpliTube) have something called a StealthPlug that does the same thing. You can also use other audio inputs (like my Peavey PV-6 USB) for a straight guitar signal for recording.

Ableton and AmpliTube also can work together. You can record a straight guitar signal into Ableton and then use an AmpliTube plug-in to color that track with different amp tones until you find one that you like and sounds good. I like that because you can have AmpliTube plug-in running WHILE you record, but then turn it off and get the straight guitar recording that was saved. This way, you can do multiple passes with different amps.

Wow, I should probably do something like that to A/B demo different AmpliTube amps that I have.
