Hi everyone,
I recently added the EXP-1 pedal to my Mustang floor but I'm having some problems with the EXP-1.

As an example, on the Movie Tremolux setting, the main pedal defaults to the MOD control while the EXP-1 defaults to volume. The problem is, the toe down in 0% volume, the heel down is 100% - I can't figure out how to reverse this on the settings, even if using FUSE.

Also, when using the pedal should the light be either RED or GREEN? Mine has both lights on at the same time....?

Also, can someone please explain to me what these settings mean - I mean, really, I thought the EXP-1 was added to take the place of the MOD or volume, I have no clue what these different parameter options are.

Hi domino.college,

We are happy to assist. So, when you add an EXP-1 pedal to your Fender Mustang Floor, it does not take the place of but rather adds a second pedal to your device. In the pedal settings window the left hand side is where you make your desired adjustments for the Mustang Floor's built in pedal. The right hand side of the window is where you select what you want the EXP-1 (if connected) to do.

To reverse the heel/toe settings, you would select the set of controls you want to adjust (heel/toe settings for Volume and/or Expression mode on the built in pedal, or heel/toe settings for EXP-1). Please check these things out and let us know if we can assist further. Thanks.

After moving the sliders to try and reverse the heel/toe it still stayed the same. One thing I am not 100% sure of is whether or not I have the correct firmware update from the beginning of the month. I'll have to check this evening.

Any thoughts as to why both lights on the EXP-1 were illuminated at the same time?

Thanks!

Hi domino.college,

Thanks for the update. You may want to check to ensure that you are either in Volume mode or Expression mode as the case may be so that you are not adjusting one heel/toe setting while in the other mode. And of course Volume mode will light green on the EXP-1 and Expression mode will light red. on the Mustang Floor itself, the LCD display will indicate the pedal mode. Please let us know how it is going. And the most current firmware can be found here: http://support.fender.com/software/fend ... or_1.4.upd

I updated to the new version of the firmware and that appears to have solved the heel/toe being reversed BUT.......in Expression mode, both lights illuminate, not just the red:

Hi domino.college,

That is interesting indeed. Are you connected directly to the amp or do you have an MS-4 in connected? If you have an MS-4 connected, email us the serial number of both pedals and we will check things out a bit further here and follow with you. Thanks.
