I have PRS guitar on order with the PIezo system which a lot of people use a separate acoustic amp. Could a mustang III be used? If so, how would it sound?

The Mustang amps don't have a dedicated acoustic setting. There have been several previous topics discussing this, and the best way to obtain an appropriate acoustic sound (or whether an acceptable sound is possible).

Suggest searching the forum for the word "acoustic" in topic titles only. Here's a few:

I have an Ovation VXT and a Parker which both have those piezos (you will love them. perhaps... hopefully).
Here's a trick you might try: when I don't have two amps handy (and getting a few feet of separation can do wonders imho), and want to do it all in one amp, use the aux input.
I assume this has stereo output and you have a tsr cable. Run the regular pickups into the amp as normal, set to whatever you taste runs. Take the piezo and first run it into some sort of processor. I use a Pandora 5 most of the time when I do this. A decent acoustic simulator is made by Zoom that I sometimes use if I get a ride to where ever I am going to make noise.
The Pandora is loads of fun, and you can sweeten up that somewhat tinny piezo sound, toss some delay on, maybe an acoustic sim model, and set the level so it doesn't over or under do that input. And I can cook up a soso backing track if I am so inclined. May not be a total band in a box, but what the hey, total rig is around 16 pounds with guitar, Mini 7, Pandora, bag, etc.
I use this trick with my Mini 7 when I go for my 25 minute walk to where I play with a friend at sunset on the beach. Life is so hard here.... Every ounce matters when you are an old crank like me!
Enjoy your piezo and split it when you can.... but when you can't, try the aux
