Nice. Particularly the SuperSonic preset. I learned a new use for the pitch shifter with your preset :)

BTW you might consider trying incresing the bias for a more tubby sound

It has to do with amp simulation of tubes.

In a nutshell it will give you more or less warmer/overdriven sound. Try it out with any clean model factory preset (bassman for example). With bias +50% it adds a lot of mids, the sound is totally overdriven and round, and you get more gain, with -50% it sounds like a tin can :)

Don't know much about metal presets but chances are you can crack some extra gain with bias and get more round sound at the same time. For blues/rock sounds I have found the Bias is essential to all my presets

So with all that being said, what is the "sag" all about?

I did some research some time ago about the SAG thing.

This is the story: appartently on some not-top-notch amplifiers of the distant past, the power supply was cheap and, particularly when the amp was with volume at max, the power supply was unable tyo cope with the demand of the power amp when notes were plucked very strongly, wich resulted in a behavior similar to a compressor, in the sense that it will soften the attack of notes.

On the mustangs, I noticed that putting SAG to more will give you a more compressed output, and somewhat wash out the sound, so the output volume spikes will be minimized.. Less SAG makes it more crisp and sensible to plucking.

One cool use of SAG is if you want a compressor effect and an ovedrive effect at the same time. Normally you have to chose one or the other (you can't have both stomps at the same time) but one option is to use SAG = more plus your overdrive stomp.
