I have been trying to find some Amp Corners for my Mustang V. It's the one thing Fender forgot to put on. :D I ordered 16 corners from a local music store but they were too "Dished Out" ( They didn't fit flush with the amp.) to fit the almost 90 degree corners of the Mustang. Anyone find ones that work????? I really don't want to transport the amp without some protection on the corners.

Hi Tele130,

Thanks for your inquiry. As this is a design decision, rather than an omission, we do not have any recommendation for a part. Some amps have this hardware, and some do not. In this case, it was decided that this piece of hardware would not be part of the design. But please let us know if we can assist with anything else.

Yea, I kinda knew that from all the great reviews I read before I picked mine up.......just a little ribbing  . Well?, looks like I'm going in search of "The Holy Grail" as it were. If I find a Two Screw corner that fits well I will post the manufactor, location, part number, etc. I really love my Mustang V and will do what I can to keep her looking so hot!!

Hey Fender Team,
Any chance someone there could do a little leg work and see if an existing Fender amp corner would work?

Thanks guys.

I've had exactly the same problem in the past, not with the Mustang but a cabinet with similarly 'square' rather than 'rounded' corners.

Suggestions: try a hardware store rather than a music store; a store specialising in PA/disco/stage equipment rather than just 'music'; search for flight-case reinforcing corners; look at metal as well as plastic.

I don't know where you are, but (just as an example) in UK these two suppliers have a good range of 'squared off' corners that look like they would fit...

This is something I've been wondering about also. I didn't want to purchase any corners to find out that they didn't fit. If anyone comes up with a suitable solution for this, post it up and I will do the same if I find a part.

Thanks!!!

Hey Scott, I'm in the U.S. Milwaukee WI. Thanks for the tip. I've got a couple hardware stores close by......................good idea!!!!

If I find anything that will work, I'll post it up here. If I do find some that work, I'm willing to buy extra's and ship them out to anyone who wants them at cost. (Purchase + shipping).

QUESTION FOR THE FENDER TEAM:

Since this thread is about screwing "Amp Corners" onto/into our Mustang V Heads: Is there any component inside the head unit that is close to the corners?

Can you "Unofficially" give a basic idea for a screw length to use?
The corners I ordered (that didn't fit) did NOT come with screws.

Instead of installing amp corners, which won't protect the rest of the amp, why not buy a cover? I've got the factory cover, it's inexpensive and works great.

I have both covers. But they don't do much for "Impact Protection". Some of our helpers are in a hurry to get home after a long night. Can't blame'em. :)

Where did you get the covers from? I can't find them anywhere. I was almost ready to purchase a 3rd party hard cover on wheels for about $170...

I found mine on eBay. They even have the "Fender" logo on both. I'll post the link when I get home from work tonight.
