Howdy, I am thinking about a M3 amp, would be using it for home recording/jamming with drummer/small gigs. Rock/Blues/metal tones etc. Does anyone play out with one? Thoughts? Pro's/Con's? Thanks for the info.

Hi , i originally bought this amp just to practice at home and rehearsals because i have a bigger valve amp for gigging , but lately i been doing recordings with it and it really sounds very good setting the bias and sag settings to the right positions really improves the feel of the amp , if you know how to dial it you get get really good sounds out of it ..... , im seriously considering using it for gigs ....

What you describe is exactly what this amp does well. I use mine for all the same things and I'm very happy with it. Just be sure you understand the whole fizz issue, you can read plenty about that here

I would just take the comments in that thread with a grain of salt, not everyone is an expert. And it seems any 2 Mustang III amps are not necessarily equal.

Here's a real live clip of my Mustang III, with a 1300+ audience in an auditorium. The recording was made with a small digital recorder which was placed behind the band on stage, so the mix is bad and you're hearing what comes out the back of the amp. But it's the best I've got so far...

I have a Mustang IV and use it for everything I do, the amp is not just for home use its just as good doing gigs. I get plenty of compliments on the amps tone!

I use my mustang III for home practice. I use the AUX plug for my Ipod's backing tracks. It sounds great. I love this thing!
