Hi JimDub,

Allow me to jump in and clarify here. It is not unusual for various audio devices to need (or prefer) to be unconnected during installation of related software. And in the case of Fender FUSE, if the amp is connected during installation, you would simply power cycle it amd then you are set to go.

In regard to compatibility on the Windows side, Fender FUSE minimum system requirements on the Fender FUSE Community homepage: https://fuse.fender.com are current and correct. Please let us know if we can assist further. Thanks.

What other application asks you to disconnect all USB devices before installing?

I don't think there was any suggestion that one needs to disconnect USB devices to install FUSE or its drivers.

Disconnecting other USB devices was suggested as part of methodically trouble-shooting a problem. It's simply that if the amp is the only USB device connected, it's easier to spot it in Device Manager, etc. Disconnecting the other devices doesn't have anything to do with the problem itself. Or at least that's my understanding.

Fuse v.2.6.0.25 does not, in my experience, have a problem in XP!

That's great to hear. I've never had any problems with FUSE on either Vista or Win 7, and many others on this forum seem to run it successfully on all these operating systems. So I don't think there's a generic fault here relating to botched O/S version support.

But everyone's computer will be slightly different, and everyone will do things in slightly different ways, so there are bound to be a few situations where those differences conspire to create a problem. The best we can do here is offer whatever expertise we have to help people solve those problems.

Hi rapaul76,

It may be beneficial for you to try our current public beta build of Fender FUSE. We have updated and improved connectivity for both the Mac and Win versions. Please find that here: http://wpc.077d.edgecastcdn.net/00077D/ ... 6.1.35.dmg. And let us know if this corrects the connectivity issue you are seeing. Thanks.

That worked...thank you.

Hi Fellas,

If it's just audio usb devices and not all usb devices i.e. mouse, keyboard,
printer,camera etc. - then I stand corrected !

BTW, I don't see Fuse v 2.6.0.25 in the Fuse download list now -
( I downloaded it on 27Juy2012 ) - only v 2.6.0 is the nearest.
Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.

Jim

On the fuse.fender.com homepage, there are two download links, one for PC, one for Mac. Both these are labelled "2.6.0" which I agree is misleading.

But if you hover on the two links (or otherwise look at what they're actually linking to), you'll see in both cases they quite clearly link to "FenderFUSE_FULL_2.6.0.25"

If, from fuse.fender.com, you click the Support link, that takes you to a page listing multiple FUSE downloads. Again, the labelling on the page is misleading, it just says "2.6.0" - perhaps Fender could fix this? However, again as per above, if you hover on the links you'll see they refer to "2.6.0.25."

Hi Fellas,

Thanks Scott-Uk - found that link.
I notice, that the Beta 2.6.1.35 has'nt got into the list yet. Maybe those XP3 users with problems can try this link :-

http://wpc.077d.edgecastcdn.net/00077D/ ... 6.0.25.exe

Hi Guys,

The build of Fender FUSE on the homepage is the build you are looking for. The fourth digit set is not normally a critical issue for end users. If you are looking for the most up to date build we have out at the moment, I would suggest the version 2.6.1.35 build here: http://wpc.077d.edgecastcdn.net/00077D/ ... 6.1.35.exe. Please let us know if we can assist further.

As I reported a couple weeks ago, I've been having similar problems. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, tried 2.6.1.35, rebooted, tried different USB ports, etc., repeatedly over the last couple weeks.

My COMPUTER sees the amp just fine. Ableton Live sees it just fine. The only thing that apparently can't detect it is Fuse.

Unplugging all my USB devices isn't an option, since the only other things plugged into USB ports it are my keyboard, and my mouse.
