 I'm still around, even if Fender changed their website and my account no longer reflects my two Mustang amps or my Fender Stratocaster (in the Register my Product section)...

Hi FFXIhealer,

I'm sorry to hear that you ran into a problem with this. Can you please email us with this information? Then we can forward your message to the right folks here at HQ. And they should be able to get your Fender® Community account straightened out for you. Thanks.

Best Regards,

Alan

Hmm, guess I'd better go check my account to see if my stuff still shows up.

One thing I have noticed is that even though I am logged in, the upper right corner still shows "log in."

You're right. It says I haven't registered any products either. (frown)

You may as well have everyone email their info to you since no one's registered products came over after your "improvement" of the site. I'm just shocked that it took this long for anyone to notice. Doesn't your IT department believe in QA and testing of a site's functionality before releasing it?

Or what about if losing all that registration information means everyone's lost their warranties? That's a scary thought...

Nope, since the late 1970s (Magnussen-Moss act?), you don't have to register a purchase to claim the warranty. As long as you have a valid sales receipt, you are covered.
For warranty purposes, it can be better if you do not register, because if you register, they can then deny warranty claims coming from someone else, even if they have the sales receipt.

The above assumes you live in the US. Other countries have different laws, and in Europe, for example, FMIC can't refuse to honor the warranty if ownership changes - the warranty follows the product, not the owner.

But in short, the only reason to register is if there are incentives for registering that go beyond the warranty.

Hi Guys,

I wanted to provide an update here for those concerned that their product registration information that is currently not showing in their Fender® Community accounts. Our Web team is in the process of updating some specific databases. One of those is the database with this related information. The Web team should have this database updated shortly. And once that is done, user data, including product registration information will be restored.

With that said, product warranties are not dependent on the product registration on Fender.com. For warranty service or inquires, you would need to show proof of purchase (sales receipt, email confirming purchase, etc. from an authorized Fender dealer). Please let us know if we can assist further to this end. Thanks.

Best Regards,

Alan

At least people don't hack Fender databases for warranty information like they hack Sony networks for Playstation Network accounts.... am-I-right?

This has got to be one of the most informative threads here in the Mustang Forums! The Moderators should give serious consideration to making this a Sticky within the Mustang's Forum. FFXIHealer's posts are exceptionally helpful and informative.

Because the thread had sunk severeal pages down into the Forum's numerous topics andmit took me some time to find it, I opted to Post to it to bump it back into the current threads.

If you haven't read this thread, take the time to do so from the beginning!

FFXIHealer, have ever you considered consolidating your modeled Amps Posts (w/ the images) and entitling it as its own new Thread in the Mustang Amps Forums (as opposed to Fuse Forums)? And, same if you have the FX units in the Mustangs identified?

I probably did years ago, but never got around to it. Plus, I don't know how often I can say "Marshall" and "Peavey" and "Mesa Boogie" around this forum before they get edited and stuff... Copyright and all that nonsense.

I found FFXIhealer's work to be invaluable. Using his work, and the work of some others, I put together a crib sheet for myself. One thing led to another and it ended up being a more comprehensive guide to the Mustang III amp and Fender Fuse software than I had expected.

Here's a link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/45ervo6uhvr2f ... e.pdf?dl=0

I'd welcome any comments, corrections, criticisms and suggestions.

Hey, man! Commendable effort on your preparing such a comprehensive compilation. Ths is very handy! Thanks immensely! On my first very brief read, perhaps use Volume rather than Master Volume. As for the overall explanations of the FX, referring to them all as Stomp effects may be misleading to some. After the overall FX brief explanations, consider listing the names of the FX comprising each of the FX groups: Stomp, Mod, Delay, Reverb. The descriptions of the individual deeper settings for each FX is very nicely done. The above is only based on a quick read. I eagerly look fwd to reading it more thoroughly again soon, and providing further comments. I also think I recollect seeing a confusion of Sine and triangle in one of the descriptions. More on that when i reread it. Great effort!
