Hi,

I'm not sure if this was already asked for (I couldn't find it), but it would be very usefull to be able to set the fefault effect and effect settings for each effect slot.

Here's a scenario:
-------------------
Mustang III with 2-button footswitch.
Footswitch is used as stomp/mod on/off.
Selected preset has no stomp effect.

You press the stomp button on the footswitch, and nothing happens - because your preset has no stomp effect.
-------------------

It would be very usefull if you could define default stomp/mod/delay/reverb so when you press stomp (or mod/del/rev) button on the amp or on the footswitch, you get your default stomp (or mod/del/rev) immediately.

I know you can get this (kind of) if you save your preset with stomp, but then when you select your preset the stomp will be active. And then you would have to save every preset with a stomp. With this feature it would be like you have a pedal on the floor that you suddenly decide you want to use.

Anyone else thinks this would be usefull?

If I'm understanding you, you want to be able to have a stomp effect in place but "off" when the patch is selected. If that is what I'm understanding, program the effect into the patch and dial it in the way you like. Just before saving the patch touch the stomp button on the amp to turn it off and then save the patch. When you pull the patch up the stomp will be there and all you have to do is press the stomp switch to engage the effect. It will have to be done on every patch you edit. Works great for me. Hope that helps.

Yes, I just discovered that myself, so went on and added inactive stomps/etc to a bunch of presets. That's kind of a workaround.

I still think it would be good to have a default - you know when you press 'Stomp' button on amp it starts empty, and you have to turn the knob to get to the first setting. It could start with your default (which would be the best) or even just start with the first value rather then start empty.

But main advantage would be that if you're playing with a preset that doesn't have a stomp and suddenly decide you want a bit of overdrive, or fuzz, or whatever is your favourite, then you could just press the footswitch button and it would come up with default settings.

I'm using the Mustang V with the four button switch which I haven't played with yet (I've only had the amp a week). So let me get this straight, I can assign a JUST STOMP box to a pedal preset? I love the '65 Twin....(I play a lot of blues) and different styles of Blues require different stomp box's.............or none at all.

Has anyone been able to emulate a SeaSick Green "TS-808"?

Thanks guys. :D

Sorry, Tele130, but I don't think you can at the moment. As far as I know, you can use your footswitch to go through presets, and to turn on/off any effect that you may have in currently selected preset.

But what I am asking for is practically that - your footswitch button would activate your default stomp/mod/del/rev effect whether you have it in preset or not.

That's what I though but had to ask for some clarification. Thanks. Would be nice to see Fender re-vamp some software to allow this. I was hoping to be able to almost eliminate the need for a "Pedal Board".

Bummer. :(
