Thought I would put together a small platform for my 2 Ft Switch pedals, it just makes it a little neater and more secure from being bumped around. The back row is elevated for easy stomping... What do you think!

I hope Fender decides to make a full size amp controller someday it would be so much better than having separate pedals, I had the Expression pedal but decided not to keep it!

Looks great. I agree - Fender needs to create a better controller for the Mustang line. Kinda like the Line 6 Floorboard or a Mustang Floor without the guts (just a controller).

Cyber Twin... nice! I can't help feeling that, great as the Mustang is, and a step forward in amp technology in many ways, they've also taken a step backwards compared to some of the features the Cyber Twin had.

The CyberTwin is pretty amazing. But it just couldn't compete, price wise, with the spiders and vypers, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if the Mustangs use some of the software engine that was developed for the CT. But they had to "cheapin up" the hardware (made in Korea) so it could compete.

But anyways, that is a great platform. It would look real nice with the expression pedal on the side too.

That's a shame. As I've posted elsewhere here (and I think other have too), personally I'd be prepared to pay a bit more for a higher-quality product. It's unfortunate that the market seems to be in a "race to the bottom" to have a product at the cheapest price rather than the best overall balance of features/quality vs price. Obviously there are lots of good reasons for budget amps, but that shouldn't drive the whole market.

Great comment IMHO.

I pay good prices to own something I want. Usually I will be the highest bidder.
Check my amps for sale on EBay under Toppscore. All are the highest quality.
Some will wait their whole life to save $100 dollars.
Me, I will get it now. I can/will pay more now just to enjoy it now.

Recently, I had a 1963 Blonde Tremolux 2x10 speaker cabinet on MINT condition for sale on EBay.
I wanted $700 which included shipping.

A buyer offered ten different emails for $500 with no added shipping costs.
He claimed his boss is a top 100 guitarist of all time and wanted a matching set
of 1963 blonde cabinets and that they had never seen 1963 blondes come available.

Even during the last few minutes before auction end and with no bidders for
the $700 total priced cabinet, the buyer email the $500 still holds for his boss.

Well, at the last minute, the auction was one by another buyer to match is amp head.

For $100 or $200 to the original interested bidder/potential buyer,
he got nothing. And may never see a MINT 1963 Blonde ever again at $700.
And, if this guy is as great as he's supposed to be,
he should have snapped up the $700 for $800 with a $100 tip for quality packing

Why waste time. Buy it now and enjoy. Toppscore

The EXP-1 Expression Pedal for MIII - V. The OP said he had one but didn't keep it. (didn't say why). I just thought it would look nice sitting along side those footswitches. Could be a prototype for a "real" control board.

Yeah, I think the CT was intended to be Fender's flagship for modeling amps (even though it was more of a hybrid). Fender pulled out all the stops when they designed that thing. Unfortunately, modeling amps in general have a reputation for being "toys", and most "serious" amp buyers werent willing to shell out $1200+ for a modeler at the time. Attitudes are slowly starting to change though, as modeling gets better. And overall quality will inevitably get better as the technology improves (and becomes cheaper - just like computer tech).

I am a "most bang for the buck" kind of guy. But I would love to see some sort of happy medium between the Mustang III and the CyberTwin.

Fender G-DEC route with the FUSE software.
It is the FUSE software I need to better master.

How about you?

What is more important?
Some people go into the desert for 40 days and 40 nights.
Some live in shanties, rent free.
Grocieries are overrated. Gardens are cool.
Chickens are fun to catch for dinner

Initially I thought I would not use the Expression pedal much but realized I would rather not waist a patch just to make it louder, I just got another EXP-1 to set up as a volume boost in any patch I use and may use for other options.

Nice. If I ever pick up an Exp1 it would probably just mostley be for volume. And maybe gain or reverb level control. Any plans to mount it with your footswitches?
