hello fender team

I've been looking like crazy to find out where the guitar i own comes from. It was my father's who died 18y ago. It's white and it has a black horse with the word mustang printed in black on the head. On the back of the neck it says made in korea but the strangest thing is the serial no. i can't find it anywhere, the printing of the serial no is 28-1100-980...

Did anyone see this before?

I'm getting a little desperate to find out where it comes from... All i know is that it must be at least 18y old, since that's when my father died and it was his.

Thank you

Pictures, please.
Front & back of the headstock.
Can you take the neck off and photograph
the neck butt end and the body neck cavity?
Your answers will be there. Toppscore :)

you realize you're posting this in the forum for Mustang Amplifiers, not Mustang Guitars right?

Hi Ameli,

We are happy to assist you in what ever way we can. I would suggest that you send an email with photos to our Consumer Relations team at ConsumerRelations@Fender.com. Also, you could place a post in the following Guitars Forum. Thanks.

Hi Ameli,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble sending us email. We receive a high volume of mail daily at both the consumerrelations@fender.com and the tsl@fender.com addresses. What exactly is happening when you try to send mail to us? Do you get a delivery failure notice? Or do you get some other type of error? If you can clarify a bit, perhaps we can help get it sorted. Thanks.

That message looks like your attached photos are to big. Try using a photo editor to reduce the resolution.
