If I wanted to run my pedal board with my Mustang Floor should I use the effects loop or would it make more sense to put the Mustang first in line..I would like to use to use some of the modulation effects etc. from the Mustang...or should I just use A/B/Y and use one or the other..some of my overdrive/distortion pedals sound to good to leave at home

Hi rogersc45@ahoo.com,

We will be happy to help. You could certainly bring your favorite pedals with you to go along with your Fender Mustang Floor. Depending on your preference, you could run your pedal board though the effects loop on your Mustang Floor and activate the loop by pushing down the Insert button on your Mustang Floor device. Keep in mind that the Mustang Floor is fixed in Preamp position. For additional advice on the use of an A/B/Y device with your Mustang Floor, we suggest following up with the manufacturer of that device. Please let us know if this helps and if we can assist you further.

Hi,
I'm very interested in this Multieffects but my question is: Can I use my analog pedals overdrives/distorsions in INSERT LOOP?

Thanks a lot.

Yes you can. With the M Floor, the Loop is immediately after the guitar input, before any of the DSP effects / modelling. So all your pedals will be the first thing in the signal chain, exactly the same as if you connected them in-line between the guitar and the M Floor's main input. (It seems the only advantage of using the Loop is that you can then bypass all the effects in the loop with a single 'stomp' of an M Floor footswitch).

For overdrive etc pedals, having them first in the signal chain is probably where you want them, so that's ok. Obviously modulation effects usually go after the pre-amp etc so you probably wouldn't want to put any of those in the M Floor's Loop.

Also, if you're using analogue overdrive pedals, you may want to turn off (or at least turn down) any overdrive/fuzz effects inside the M Floor itself, and perhaps also reduce the modelling amp gain. It all depends what sound you want.

Hi osvtorr,

So it seems like you are getting some good advice from scott-uk :D . The Insert Loop is a great additional feature with the Mustang Floor device. We get a lot of positive feedback regarding this and our consumers has seen it as a great addition their already existing pedal configuration. I have attached a link to the Fender Mustang Floor Manual below and please let us know if you have any further questions.
