With my Fender Floor, while in FUSE, if I use "Import" to import a previously saved preset in my computer, I select both the FX and Amp settings, and both are brought into the screen with the correct settings etc. I hit the "Save" button and rename and save it to the location I want.

It all seems to "take", but when I scroll up or down, then back to the preset number I just saved, the Amp type was not saved, but the FX was. The Amp seems to revert back to what was there previously.

Memory lock is set to "OFF".

What am I doing wrong?

Hasn't anyone else noticed this problem?

I would sure appreciate some response here so I'll know if I'm doing anything wrong, or if there is a bug in the firmware.

C'mon guys don't be shy. :)

Hi poynt99,

The best way to do what you are talking about here would be to use the 'Add to Library' function in the Media Library. With this option, you can add Presets as well as Band Tracks if desired and the files are added directly to your local Fender FUSE folder in Documents. Please check this out and let us know if we can assist further.

Hi TSL Team.

Before reading your post, I discovered that the presets I created appear in the media library. When you right-click on any preset in that listing, you can upload the preset to the amp. This method does work.

Which begs the question, what then is the purpose of the "IMPORT" button, since you can not save these imported presets to the amp?

I wondered the same thing. I eventually figured out it seems to be this:
  • The 'Open' option lets you open a preset file from anywhere on your computer, play around with it, but leave it in its original location. Nothing can be permanently saved to the amp with this option, and if you want to use this preset again, you have to 'Open' it again.
  • The 'Import' option lets you open a preset file from anywhere on your computer, and add it to the FUSE library (ie make a copy of it in the FUSE folders). It's now known to FUSE (ie appears in the Media Library next time you use FUSE, without you having to Open or Import it again), but again nothing in this option will save the preset to the amp.
  • The 'Save Preset to Amp' option lets you save a previously-imported preset to one of the presets on the amp.

I agree this isn't the most intuitive or obvious UI (but don't shoot the messenger; I'm just passing on my understanding to be helpful). Others have suggested improvements in other forum topics - eg drag-n-drop stuff and so on, and Fender have acknowledged those suggestions.

You can save them to the amp, but it's a non-intuitive two-step process: Import the preset, then switch to Media Library view, find the preset, right-click it and select 'Save Preset to Amp.' I asked this question in another topic recently as it didn't make sense to me either.

Hi Guys,

One additional feature in the 'Import' function' in Fender FUSE is the ability to import separate components of a Preset such as the 'Amp', 'Effects' or 'Band' settings depending upon the Fender product you have connected to Fender FUSE at the time. Please see the screen shot below. And please let us know if we can assist.
