Hi,

Can anyone suggest which Mustang amp model and/or standard preset sounds most like a Blackstar HT5R valve/tube amp, for both clean and dirty sounds? Or know of custom settings or preset somewhere that does this? (I searched the uploaded presets at fuse.fender.com, nothing labelled 'blackstar')

I'm thinking of getting one as a second amp, and whereas it always gets good reviews, I'd like to check the sound for longer than I could in a shop demo (plus no shops near me have one in stock for demo), over multiple playing sessions in my own (ie more relaxing than a shop!) environment. I've listened to demos, but other people always make all musical gear sound better than I can :?

An emulated sound that's "close enough" using the Mustang would seem an ideal way to do this. My main worry is that some reviewers suggest the Blackstar sound tends to the 'heavy' end of the scale, whereas I prefer a more crunchy blues sound. So it doesn't need to be an exact emulation, just good enough for me to address that worry.

Thanks!
