you don't have 1 stomp access to a preset(other than the QA's). No matter how many presets you need to access per song, you have to incrementally increase or decrease the preset number to get to the desired one

A suggestion I posted in another topic:

If you save the presets you want to use, in consecutive 'slots' in the order you want to use them, then you do have 1-stomp access to the correct preset. Each time you need a change, you just go 'up' by one to the next preset. Admittedly this works best if you always use the same presets, in the same order, in a song. If you want to jump around and improvise 'live' with different presets then yes, that probably would need more than one stomp per change.

But then as is frequently highlighted on this forum: the Mustang provides a particular set of features at a certain price point. There are other units that do the other things everyone asks for, and they cost more (or omit some other feature, etc). Also, Fender are gradually adding more features to the Mustang over time based at least in part on feedback and requests on this forum and elsewhere. I agree what you're asking for would be very useful, so I'll "+1" your suggestion to hopefully help move it up Fender's list.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone--much appreciated. To be honest, I've never really explored Modes 2 and 3 on my V head yet, so that's something I'm going to have to give myself a crash course in. I've really only got about 5-6 presets that I use with both of my bands, so I'm not exactly swimming in unused settings, but I've still got more self-education to do.

Still the best-sounding amp I've ever owned, though. :)

I can't imagine having to do all that switching while playing. I play blues and maybe change patches every other song. Anyway you could set the 4 button for the three presets and then have the 2 button go up and down. That gives you a total of 9 quickly available patches.
