Just brought home a new Mustang Floor! Very psyched, but when I signed on to Fuse it asked if I wanted to update. Turned off floor, turned in on while holding data wheel down and update failed. Re-trying did not help and now when I turn it on the save light blinks but otherwise the Floor is inoperable.

A little help would be appreciated.

By the way, i also have a Mustang 2 and updated that from the same computer (MacBook Pro with 10.6.8) without a problem.

For the heck of it, tried a Factory reset. No go.

To finish the story, even though I am having a conversation with myself:

Since I was getting nowhere with Fuse on my Mac, I decided to install a new installation of Fuse on my PC running XP and see if that helped.

So, I installed Fuse on my PC. It did not recognize the Floor but I got a dialog box asking me what I had (perhaps because it was new Fuse installation?). That then allowed me to tell it that I had a Floor, and it asked me if I wanted to install the bundled software or downloaded software. Picked bundled cause that sounded easier and safer. Success! Then it asked if I wanted to update the firmware, and I held my breath, crossed my fingers and said clicked yes. No problem! So I am operational again! (now I can actually try it out!)

Hi Ovangol2,

We are not in the office today. But perhaps I can assist in regard to some clarification. It sounds like you have now had success on your PC. Can you please tell me what version of Fender FUSE you have on your Mac? Thanks.

HI Alan,

My remark about "talking to myself" wasn't a complaint! Never expected an answer over the weekend. I was just a bit self-concious about posting the 4th time in my own thread when there had been no response, but figured I would anyway so that if anybody else happened to have a similar experience, the end of my story would be there.

Fuse on my Mac is up to date: 2.6.0.25 (I had to update it to do the latest firmware update to my Mustang 2, which went fine). So I am still not sure why the initial update on my Floor from the Mac failed. I assume, but have not checked, that since I managed to get the Floor updated using my PC, that Fuse on the Mac would now recognize it -- but I have not bothered to test it. If it doesn't, I'll probably re-install fuse on my Mac. If then I had a problem, I would get back in touch with you folks.

Thanks.

Hi Ovangol2,

No worries. Please check connectivity with your Mac and let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,
