I am color blind and can't tell which color the preset is by the LED. I, so far, have simply had to remember where I am. Has anyone else had the issue and if so has there been a work around you found effective?

Yeah same problem here, red green colorblind. I solved it by trading up to a MIII and got lots of other benefits :D

Wow. I never thought about that. So is there no difference at all in the LED's light that you can detect or is it there but it takes too long to discern when playing live?

You could make one of the two foot switch selections the top selection in the red bank and the other one the second selection in the green bank. When neither the first or second selection turns on the indicator light, you know you're in the amber bank. When the top one triggers the light, you're in the red bank, and when the second one lights the indicator, you're in the green bank.

The color choices in the LED are truely about the worst possible for color blind (including the most common red-green) persons (90+% male). I can't tell any difference at all.

I wonder if there's some kind of "colored lens" that if it covered the LED, it could interact with colored light and help make it more visible? I just stabbing at ideas here.

Hey guys I just found this on the net. It's at a UK website though so I don't know how difficult it would be for color blind folks here in the states. Here's the link.

If there are lenses that work well - in my 52 years I have not found them. It is a good shot at it though and I do appreciate it. I am not sure, given the number of people who are differently sighted with color why one would choose to use "amber" and "green" as the base colors. You are sure to catch the most common version of color vision differences. A lot of manufactures do it though and not just fender.

Novice question. What makes the led in the m2 whatever color it displays? Is there a tweak?

How about putting a white mark on the preset knob. Then the position of the knob will tell you which bank you're in and the position of the led lit will tell you the exact preset.

I will see how that works but I think it spins one or more times as it goes through the presets.

My Mustang I goes through all the presets in just under one complete spin. Maybe something like turning the preset all the way counterclockwise, putting a marker at about 6:30. Putting a piece of tape there will let you know if this could work for you.

I guess the reason for using mainly red and green LEDs is a historic one: They were simply invented first and even when there were yellow and later blue ones, the red and green ones were still much cheaper.
Interessing problem, just knew it from software- and not hardware GUI design.

Hi Guys,

I did a bit of research myself, and from what I found (as Orcatraz offered), Seekey seems to be one of the main products that may be of assistance with distinguishing LED colors. Please feel free to post any additional useful, related product links here.

Cheers,
