I asked a similar question in this forum a while ago, what amp settings to emulate a particular guitarist's sound, and (not entirely unexpectedly) got no replies - probably because none of us mere mortals actually know exactly what another person uses, and because a particular guitarist will use a variety of different amps/effects/tones on different occasions.

So I'm searching the internet for details of that person's equipment (Mike Campbell in my case), and then playing around with the Mustang to find the closest match.

For Bob Marley, the internet tells me he used single-coil pickups through a Fender Twin or other clean amp, with a compressor up-front and maybe a flanger or wah-wah and perhaps a bit of spring reverb. And that he used lots of other things too.

Suggest you start with the above and then tweak to your preference. Then search the internet for any other info on the equipment Mr Marley used regularly and experiment adding that (or the Mustang's closest effect to it) to your setup. Keep it if you like it, or drop it and try something else if not.

I've had some success searching the FUSE community for an artist or even a particular song whose sound you are trying to emulate.

Hi l_amiral,

Please check out the Preset that we put together. It is clean and has a little bite to it. It should be a good starting place. Please let us know if we can assist further.
