How do you keep up with all of your modified presets, particularly if you change amp models from the ones listed on the control panel? I was thinking about getting a little plastic sleeve to attach to the back of my amp and keep a small card with my presets listed on it. Anyone do something similar?

Not a bad idea. I haven't done anything yet but am only now starting to re-do all my presets and for now am creating a chart, but something short and easy to refer to that stays with the amp would be helpful.

It is a good idea! Maybe a sticker at the side of the led to cover actual amp names...

I actually use the # and the G for clean sounds, the C B and A for high gain models and rest for some midrange tone...

RED bank for standard guitars METAL tones, GREEN bank for standard guitars ROCK and BLUES, ORANANGE bank for 7 string and rgd METAL tones...

I may get a sticker with something like:

# - Clean I
G - Clean II
F - Rock I
E - Rock II
D - Rock III
C - High I
B - High II
A - High III

Now the question is ... How do i print the sticker????

I'd make the sticker up in a program like Outlook where you can move the elements around and get them to match the curved layout of the amp itself. Then, you could print it on peel-and-stick label stock. With a little trial and error, you could come pretty close to the amp's layout.

I just called a company that sells self-adhesive vinyl pockets and asked for a couple of samples of their business card size, which they were happy to send at no charge. Hopefully, this will work for my purposes.

You could use Avery labels with Microsoft Word, they come in many sizes. Most printers can print on label paper. Similar to Kyle's idea, but personally I'd use Word for ease of editing.

I only changed a few of the amp models on the presets. Most of them are still the "labeled" amps. But I did arrange them as such:

RED - High-gain/Lead
GREEN - Clean/Low-gain crunch
AMBER - whatever doesn't fit.

The different ones are:

Amber-#: Changed '57 Deluxe to '57 Champ, medium-high gain
Red-F: Changed '65 Twin Reverb to '65 Deluxe Reverb, high gain for blues
Amber-F: Changed '65 Twin Reverb to '65 Princeton Reverb, medium-gain for blues
Amber-E: Changed VOX AC30 to Marshall 1959SLP, low gain setting for AC/DC, added reverb.

The company sent me four plastic pockets. They fit a business card and are pretty handy. I don't need all four. If anyone wants one, just let me know. I'll be glad to mail it to you.

Kyle - that's a great idea. I'd take one if you still have them.
I'll PM you my address.
