After years of being a plug in and go guy...I took delivery of my Mustang floor today.
I will probably stick with the factory presets for a while as there seem to be some usable ones there and then once I am up and running, I will get deeper into the unit.
I have a couple of questions.
1.) How do I save the settings I want to use without editing them into an easily accessible group (bank)?.
Im probably going to use preset mode as that seems easiest.
2) say Im playing away and its solo time...I jump on liquid solo...finish and want to disengage the effect unit and get back to the sound of my amp?
I don't use much by way of effects and am running a Custom Vibrolux reverb and a supersonic 60 watt combo with a switch bone ABY box and that covers a lot of my needs.
But there are some great sounds as well as some that I wouldn't use in a pink fit and would like to access them without scrolling through the banks.
Any advice will be appreciated.
Cheers,

Hi Boof!

Let me start off by saying that I don't have the Floor, I have the Mustang III. I'll first ask if you've got the FUSE software up and running yet??? If you don't I recommend it for exactly the purpose you want! It not only can edit presets (patches), but is also a patch librarian, where you can store, move, and arrange presets however you want. I use it to arrange my presets in an order that is useful to me for my uses. I have mine arranged according to our set list, so I can go from song part to song part merely by going up or down one preset. It makes it a breeze to do, and helps a lot! You CAN do the same thing on the device itself without using FUSE, but it gets confusing since you have to do a lot of copies to different locations after you've mapped out exactly what order you want the presets to be in.

Hi mate,
Thanks for that...I installed Fuse yesterday and will get into it today.
As I said...I have two great amps although due to stage restrictions I will not always be able to use them both all the time and really just want to use the unit as I would a normal perdalboard.
I will get into creating, editing and getting used to the idea of going direct into a PA at some point.
There is probably a mind numbingly simple answer to this, but given what I am intending to use it for, what mode would work best for me and how do I turn the effects off to return to the sound of my amps when I don't need the effect operating?
Cheers,

Hi boofhead61,

I am happy to assist. With the Fender Mustang Floor, you can switch any active effects off/on with the foot switches on the Mustang Floor unit itself. The foot switches are labeled with their functions. You will see the Mode switch on the top left that can be switched between Preset and FX Select. You can also switch the current Amp model off/on if desired and use the Mustang Floor as a dedicated effects pedal. In regard to the Bank use question, this device has 100 dedicated Preset locations that can be updated and overwritten as desired at any time. You will want to be sure that the Memory Lock is turned off in order to begin editing/updating Presets. You can turn the Memory Lock off by pressing the Utility button 5 times and turning the black encoder knob one click to the left. I would suggest that you download the user manual via the link below. And please let us know if we can assist further.

Hi mate...thanks for taking the time to reply...much appreciated.
After thinking about it,I am too old school and impatient to go through the process...and my amps sound so damn good on their own.
Grant from Fender Australia has graciously agreed to take the unit back and I will just put a couple of basic pedals in front of them.
Cheers,
