Hi!

I have two amps on which i play with an A/B switch. The first one is the Mustang Floor plugged into the power amp of a Fender FM212R. The second is a Band-Master® VM Head. The problem is that since i use the Fender Floor i hear an interference, a buzzing sound (something like "drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....") on the amp which is NOT connected to the Mustang Floor. It disappears when i switch off the Mustang Floor or if i unplug the input cable for the Mustang Floor from the A/B switch. And it doesn´t matter which amp is active from the A/B switch, it´s always with that background noise.
The unwanted noise is not on the Mustang Floor´s amp.
Does anyone have a solution for this?

Thanks in advance

Claus

Sounds like grounding issue; most likely in the A/B switch.

Could also be a shielding problem; Does the noise alter if you move the guitar or re-position the switch?

Hi clausiii,

I have to agree with mhowell, it sounds like a grounding/wiring issue with the A/B switch. I would suggest trying to connect your Fender Mustang Floor to your FM212R directly and see if you hear the same noise issue. If the noise issue is not present in that configuration, then you may want to check with the manufacturer of the A/B switch for additional advice. And please let us know if we can assist further.
