Has anyone else noticed with their Mustang that the sound is not "centered" when using headphones? Wtih my MI, it always feels as though the left-right balance is tilted slightly to the right. Is there a way to adjust this? It's really annoying!

I know it's not my headphones (or my head, for that matter! ) since I've got a couple of Line 6 products that I use headphones with, and the sounds seem perfectly centered in the headphones when I use them.

Is this a new development or has it always been that way?

When my head phone jack broke the plug would not stay securely in the socket. If it wasn't in there just right I would get the effect you are describing or sometimes no sound at all on one side or the other. Had to jiggle it around till it started working. Check the little plastic plug, make sure its not cracked or broken. I've broken 2 on mine, they are very fragile.

Well, the jack does seem pretty loose, but moving it around when the phones are plugged in doesn't make much difference...and I try not to do that too much, for fear of breaking it! It's done that for a while...to be honest, I can't say for sure if it always did.

I was never overly impressed with the tones I got with my MI when using headphones anyway...it seems to do best when hooked up to a quality speaker cab. In that light, this issue isn't a big deal. Besides, I recently got a POD HD300 and am getting some good tones with it through headphones, plus it's got way more footswitch versatility, so I'll just plan on using that when I'm using headphones.

Hi Muleya.
Have you tried plugging the amp in via USB and monitoring via the computer's headphone out to see if it's off center there too?

O.

On my M3 the headphone right-left balance is off in low volumes, and changes as you change the volume, like something a bad potentiometer might do. It's been like this since I got it.

Hi Muleya,

Are you hearing an imbalance between the left and right channels on all Presets or just certain ones? Thanks.

It was all presets, but when I upgraded the Firmware, the problem seemed to go away. I've not had much chance to try it much since then, but will try to check it this weekend.
