I just bought my Mustang III this weekend and I have a basic question. If I edit one of the preset settings and save my changes, can I revert back to the factory settings in the future if I no longer like the changes I have made.

I'd love to start toying around with stuff, but I'm worried if I screw something up I won't be able to get back to the original sound which I enjoy.

You can revert back to default if you need to. I had to do that yesterday on my Mustang III to troubleshoot, but it was an user error. I also backed up my presets before the reset, and restored them no prob.

"To restore the Mustang amplifier to factory settings:

1. Turn the amplifier OFF.
2. Press and hold the EXIT button while turning the amplifier ON. Continue holding the EXIT button until it is no longer illuminated.

The FACTORY RESTORE function will erase all user modified presets. It will also restore the AMBER bank of presets and any effect selections that have been modified using Fender FUSE software."

OK. So you can't restore settings for individual presets? You have to restore the entire system?

How do you back up your settings? Through Fuse? I havent tried the software yet.

Thanks for your help.

You CAN restore INDIVIDUAL presets through Fuse. A full restore is not necessary.

To restore individual presets to their factory state you need two things :
1. To be connected to Fuse
2. To have the original preset stored on your computer.

If you haven't got the second, you can get all of the factory presets individually from the Fuse online library.
